I think others have made rather accurate statements about how fabulous this little gem of a tea room is.
I have nothing to add, except if you haven't been yet...GO!!!
And, do yourself the favour of making a reservation...this place is always packed and I've tried to go on a whim several times, only to be turned away at the door.
Okay, so I like the atmosphere a lot and I've given this place many chances... but every single time the food is HORRIBLE!
The only item I've ever liked was the pizza...which lets be honest, you'd have to be ridiculously incompetent to mess that one up.
I hate to tear them down so hard, but wake up....you've got a killer location and a great room, its such a shame that the food is so disapointing.
Then again I guess what do they care, they're always busy so if they can get away with serving garbage and still make money there is no incentive for them to change anything.
I've learned my lesson, I just keep on walking and head somewhere I know the meal will be good ie: Camille's, Chez Michel (okay drive to that one), Matisse, Temple, the Mint...wow there are so many, why does anyone ever go here.
And if you do go to the Tapa bar and you're reading this..I highly encourage you to visit one of the others I mention...your taste buds will thank you!
Gorgeous view, very nice staff. The food wasn't terrible, probably wouldn't go back.
My number one priority for a good restaurant is the food itself and I was a little disapointed with what we had.
For some reason this web page requires a minimum of 200 characters...so I'm just adding anything to meet this requirement...blah blah blah
The food was perfect! It is evident that the Chef is very particular about the quality of the ingredients.
Honestly the best rack of lamb I've ever had in my life (and I've had many!!).
This is certainly a new favourite and I look forward to returning.
PS- the lobster bisque is another item that was remarkably better than any other I've had.
