Italian Food Imports1114 Blanshard Street, Victoria
Great value for a quick lunch.

This is basically an Italian deli serving sandwiches and a daily pasta. It is a great value and the local love it. You may have to wait in line, and you may have to share a table, but it all seems to work. On sunny day's grab a seat outside and watch the world go by as you enjoy your meal. The sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients, using fresh crusty rolls, focaccia or French bread from local bakeries. Pastas change daily. You can have your order to go.

Just Loved It.

We found Blight's Bistro to be a great romantic little spot with a cozy ambiance. The staff was attentive without pampering (look it up pampering is a bad thing). The food was wonderful with special mention going to the chowder and the to-die-for Risotto. It is an expensive little place for the average Joe. But, having said that, it is just perfect for a special occasion with your special someone.

Oh Dear! What has happened to San Remo?
Submitted Monday, April 12, 2010 - 7:10pm [Dine in]

San Remo's used to be such a great little spot; what happened! Our last encounter was pretty much a total disaster. If you are making a reservation, look out. They don't seem to understand what a reservation is. We were told, once we got there that they "don't really take reservations" but that we were welcome to wait. Hardly feasible given that we had four guests coming. The food was late, cold, not as described on the menu and over priced.

The front line staff was friendly enough, but they just had too little to work with.

Pity. Used to be a nice place. Definitely off my list; there are so many other places to try in Victoria.
