ok, I wasn't expecting much when I ate here, but I did expect better than what I got. Don't get me wrong, nothing was horrible, but nothing was great either. The food was decent, though I think jim's cafe down the street serves better tasting food, and the service was so-so. The server seemed a bit pushy, seeming to expect me to order the second I sat down. I did like their style of hashbrowns though, which helped prop up the mediocre meal. I would probably only go again if other places nearby weren't open. Just didn't impress me.
I'm a big guy that likes good food, and the food at this place was great. I stopped in for a meal with a friend and really enjoyed it. They didn't skimp on portions and everything was very flavorful (I especially liked their wonton soup and kung pao beef, definitely in the top few places I've had chinese food in the lowermainland. Service was quick and friendly. The establishment itself was clean and nice. I gave it a 5 for value because of how good the food was, portion size, and price. I felt it was exceptional value to get such a good meal (and lots of it) for very reasonable prices. It is now on my list of great "cheap eats".
