Guinness - What else do you need?
Submitted Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - 2:49am [Dine in]

This is a pretty good find in downtown Vancouver. The place is very comfortable and has aweseom little nooks and crannies you could linger in if you're not feeling social. The Guinness flowed, the game was watched, had a few laughs with the guys. Didn't really eat anything here so the food rating is only for the beer. This is going to be a regular hangout from now on.

Overpriced and Underwhelming
Submitted Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - 2:23am [Take-out]

I am writing this review not after one but two bad experiences with this place.

Delivery time: It took more than an hour for the pizza to arrive. Both times.
The pizza: Both times the pizzas arrived cold. The first time the pizza looked misshaped like the pizza was tilted in the delivery car or something. The pizza was also undercooked as it was wet and soggy at the bottom, and the toppings were barely there. The second time it looked okay but still, barely there toppings even if I paid extra for more toppings. The second pizza was also wayy thinner than the last one, which makes me think they cut corners on it even if I paid a lot for it.
The wings: The wings tasted like your normal run off the mill sauce bought from costco wings. They were also still a little cold in the middle, which should not happen at all given all the time they took to cook/deliver the food.
Value: For what I got, this pizza is extremely overpriced, the quality and the taste is underwhelming. Not at all worth the money.

Given that this happened not once but twice it's safe to say that I will never order from this place again.

Good Place To Read
Submitted Tuesday, April 12, 2011 - 4:01am [Dine in]

I came by this place by chance, got hungry and this was the first place I saw.

The place has good seats, good-looking food and maybe I got lucky but there were quite a few good-looking girls eating there too. So I spent about 2 hours reading and basking in the ambiance of good-looking women.

The food was good. They sold homestyle mac and cheese that was decent. The service was good, the ladies were nice and prompt with my order.

All in all this was a nice place to hang out for a while.

Was not expecting this to be hella good. And I was right. The dim sum selection we ordered were so and so. Some tasted decent and some tasted either undercooked or overcooked.

Service was okay.

The prices I guess were fair. One of the other reviewers were right, this would cater to the lower end spectrum of consumers.

The only thing I can say that I liked about this place is the take away containers. But this is also a bit sad as the containers were more worth mentioning than the food contained in them.

Okay for the Price

You get what you pay for.

There is an okay selection of food. The salads were surprisingly fresh for a place like this. The chicken was a little tasteless but the ribs were great. Most of the desserts looked okay but tasted not too good. The ice cream was okay.

Would probably come back here if I'm hungry and not up for McDonalds.

Quiet and cozy

We found this place accidentally and was pretty glad we did. The place only has a few tables but it had a nice cozy ambiance to it. There was only one waitress but she was very nice, had an insane urge to keep refilling our tea cups it was almost funny.

The food was great, it came beautifully presented and it tasted good. The pricing was awesome, my buddies and I were expecting about 30 bucks more than the bill that was given to us as we ordered a lot. Will be coming back here again when in Richmond and in the mood for Japanese.

The place looks like a cross between a mom and pop place and a cafeteria. The girl who was serving me looked like I disturbed her for being there. I got a mediocre food serving so I asked to get more and I will pay for it and the girl obviously did not understand, she snapped at me and put one more vegetable in my serving and told me that if I want more I have to pay double. If there was a zero rating that's what I'm going to give for service. My girlfriend got a decent serving but someone else served her.

The food was okay, it didn't taste anything special. I think the service I got soured my opinion on this place. Won't come back again unless my girlfriend asks me to and I will make sure someone else is serving us.

This is definitely the place where the waitresses are good-looking. And the steak is great. Service is a little slow. Will come back here maybe for business clients, but not for going out with buddies as this place is pricey. They did have nice tvs to watch games in but going to other pubs would be better for watching games and getting drunk.

Nice little coffee place
Submitted Friday, November 26, 2010 - 10:29pm [Dine in]

This place is where I am found when I am bored out of my mind. The baristas are nice friendly people, and will make your drink the way you like it. There has been one occasion when they bungled up my drink but they are so good to me I almost didn't mind (This is a big deal if you know me personally). Overall a nice coffee place to be in.

New Chocolate Shop in Town!
Submitted Friday, November 26, 2010 - 10:21pm [Dine in]

This place is amazing! I haven't tried their chocolate before and I must say it was fantastic! They have the chocolate drinks here, tried the hot chocolate and the girl who asked me to try it was right! It tastes almost like warm liquid chocolate. I am now addicted to this drink! I've been back 3 days in a row for this lol.

Very friendly staff and considering they are obviously new hires, one of them had very good knowledge about the different kinds of chocolate, her name is Anne or Anna. She was great, made me feel very welcome in the store.

They have good deals, I bought 40 bucks worth of stuff for presents and I got a free chocolate bar and 10 shopping card that my girlfriend was pleased about.

Worst service
Submitted Friday, July 2, 2010 - 5:13am [Dine in]

I read that this place had the best coffee in town. So I went out of my way to go to this place and what do I find? Employees that don't even smile at you and make you feel like you're bothering them. I could understand if the place was crowded but there were only a handful of people at the time I came. I was trying to enjoy my drink and read my book when I hear rude comments and snickering. Two of the employees (black curly hair and the other one had long blonde hair) were laughing at a customer who was just walking away. I didn't even finish my drink as the place left me with a bad taste in the mouth.
