Finally a decent AYCE sushi joint in Langley
Submitted Monday, April 29, 2013 - 11:02am [Dine in]

I know there isn't much to choose from as far as AYCE sushi goes in Langley, or even all of Surrey for that matter, so it's nice to have one close by now. New ownership took over in 2011 or so, and it's been good since then. Worth checking out if you don't want to spend thru the nose to try various items.

All About Pho10190 King George Blvd, Surrey
Best new pho joint in Surrey
Submitted Saturday, March 16, 2013 - 10:15am [Dine in]

After reading some bad reviews which blew my mind, I felt the need to let everyone know how good this place is. I can ONLY imagine that these bad reviews were written by rival pho joints, or by the first two customers to eat there, before they got everything ironed out as a business.
The broth here is amazing, the noodles are perfect, the salad rolls and peanut sauce are the best I have had at 2/3rds the price of most places, and the service isn't bad considering how busy it can get.
As far as my girfriend and I are concerned, it blows every other place in Surrey and Langley out of the water.

OEC Japanese Restaurant5827 176 Street, Surrey
These other reviews are wacked out
Submitted Monday, January 2, 2012 - 12:33pm [Dine in]

These reviewers are saying OEC is cheap, and has poor quality LOL. This place is expensive, but they have some of the best sushi I have ever had in my life. The quality is top notch, the portions are quite massive, and the service is great. As stated, they even give you complimentary items, ranging from tempura, to specials rolls. You gotta try it for yourself if you live in/near cloverdale.

Finally we get donairs in Cloverdale
Submitted Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - 12:55pm [Take-out]

Prices are comparable to other donair joints, and they have lots of different kinds to choose from. Really cool and friendly owner and workers. They also make samosas, which I haven't tried yet, but will. There is another new donaire joint in Cloverdale, and although I haven't been there, I was told King Tut was way better.

Sushi on a budget
Submitted Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - 12:49pm [Dine in]

Prices are pretty decent here, but I guess you get what you pay for. Not the biggest fan of their rolls, so I usually would only get salmon sashimi, and put my own rooster sauce on at home. If you just like california rolls, this could be your sushi joint.

Tanuki Sushi17617 56th Ave, Surrey
Best local sushi joint in Cloverdale
Submitted Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - 12:43pm [Dine in]

I just had lunch at Tanuki, and it was awesome. The food is always of high quality, and the service is always great. They are really friendly and work hard to ensure that you're satisfied. Prices are comparable to most sushi places, and although one could argue they don't have the absolute biggest portions in the world, the quality and taste more than makes up for it. If you want sheer quantity, go to a crappy all-you-can-eat joint.
I can't believe I haven't been going here for longer, but I will be now.
