A take-out stand in a dug-out shipping container that used to transport Hummers. Now it provides eco-friendly local seafood that tastes great! The menu offers fish and chips, fish tacones, and sandwiches among other items. The coconut milk seafood chowder is a great new twist on an old favourite. I have heard the chai tea is the best in the city, and you have to try the tempura pickles. The price is a little higher than some other places, but you can sleep at night knowing that it is great quality and enviromentally very friendly.

Let me state this right from the top, I have only been here once to-date. It had been recommended by a couple of friends. The food was good but nothing remarkable, although I would like to try it again. The reason I have not been back is because the service is absolutely offensive from the servers to the on-site owner, who is espcially noteworthy for his lack of charm. Whenever Ferris' comes up in a conversation, there is always always a new story about the lousy service. How can one place be so consistently bad? I feel sorry for the cooks who take pride in their work only to have it ruined by the service staff.

Stage was recommended by several people. The food was fantastic and the small plates were great to share with friends. Not one dish was weak, but I did especially enjoy the octopus and the pork belly. The cost of the little plates adds up quickly so prices are equivalent to a $20-$25 entree, unless you want a light dinner. One of my best dining experiences in Victoria.

Having to call 3 times to confirm a reservation was a sign of things to come. We went with a large crowd and the service was atrocious. Meals came out late and half the table received their meal 45 minutes ahead of the other half. There were no managers on duty... on a Saturday night to do anything about it! An email complaint received no response. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. The beef tenderloin and shrimp satay portion was laughably small. They should be embarrassed to even serve it. I suspect Sanuk won't be around for long. Thank goodness.
