I really love the ambiance of Fort Langley, and I've been to Beatniks a few times now so I was excited for the food and quality that I've come to expect so far. The only issue I've ever had there is the occasional flub when it comes to service. We came on a quiet evening, and were sat immediately. However, our server didn't come over to take a drink order for just under 10 minutes. I used to work in the service industry, I know how it works. Sometimes you can't get right away if you're busy, but she flat out ignored us and went to other tables around us before she got to us after 10 minutes! We ordered drinks, and that took quite awhile too. Not really on par with the lack of tables there were. By that time, we were ready to order. She never asked about how our food was and seemed like she had better things to do. She seems a little past her prime...and didn't appear to be able to handle what looked like 5 or 6 tables. I've been served by the owner before, a really pleasant lady, and she's great, but this other waitress does not seem to enjoy her job and it shows. Our food was good, could have been a little more flavourful, but other then the service being poor, it was an alright experience. I'll try it again, and hopefully have a different server next time...
