Simple place for a simple price
Submitted Sunday, April 7, 2013 - 12:54pm [Dine in]

I live right up the street from this place so I check it out for more breakfast items than Chinese food.

A flash back to the 70's or maybe early 80's decor that really hasn't see any improvements ever, however they did close down for some remodeling recently, you wouldn't be able to tell by the seating.

Doesn't bother me because its all about the food. Here, it's simple and fairly priced. I often get the Sausage Breakfast that is cheaper if you come before 11 or noon on a Sunday and its a delicious Farmers Sausage split in half, 2 eggs, hash browns, and toast. I think its about 5.95 or so but could be wrong.

The Chinese food is what you would expect of a Chinese food place also serving western food. They have affordable combos. You'll likely spend about $10 if you get one of the combo dinner's for one here.

Most of the staff are quite nice. I've only noticed one fellow who feels kind of 'wooden' but he does a good job regardless of it. Water and Coffee's are topped up fairly often, especially when its a bit slower.

The bottom line is if you aren't looking to break the bank and want a tasty meal, you can come here as long as you don't mind looking at really old decor. Or heck, just get take out or delivery.

A great place for a healthy meal

I first went to Cora thanks to some friends who moved in to the area. We had a large group that grew bigger due to lack of communication, and they were able to accommodate us well.
The place is very bright and uplifting. Almost geared towards a kids look, but still bearable.
The key thing about this place is the fruit. SO much fruit and its great and healthy!
Many of the plates come with loads of fruit and the pictures really do match the meals! Some very interesting artistic culinary skills happening here.

I recommend getting a smoothie here. One of the best I get, and draped in a few pieces of fruit as well. Well worth it!

Complaints made by other reviewers regarding the crepes are correct. They are some sort of midway between a pancake and a crepe, so be forewarned. I didn't mind personally, but I knew about it walking in.

I guess the service will depend on who you get, but the very pretty girl serving us was actually quite good. Despite the place getting totally packed and crazy busy with a line out the door, she was able to get our drink and food orders promptly but after we were served everything she didn't come back as often. It is REALLY busy there.

The prices were reasonable. Fruit prices vary depending on what you get, and if you get a fruit meal there is quite a bit of variety. If you are planning on hitting a Denny's or IHOP for breaky, consider this place. About the same price point with waaaay healthier options.

Come early. Showing up at 9 had little issue with seating, but come around 10 and its a different story. Be prepared to put your name on the list and wait in line for a few minutes.
