I found all of my food too salty and not warm enough. The presentation of food a la "C" is too drawn out. Work needs to be done on service. Food sounded better than it tasted. Nice wine list but once again marked up very high compared to the competition. We will go back in a few months for another try.

Fantastic room and friendly service by the japanese staff. The Kobe beef and ungagi bowl were outstanding as well the selection of sashimi. Somewhat loud but part of the ambiance. Small wine and cocktail list with Asian inspired cocktails. The wine's by the glass don't really work with the food so we stayed with the cocktails.

Dropped by for a burger and glass of wine tonight. TV system just blaring and could not here the server. Mediocre burger and pretty generic but cheap beers. I asked for two different glasses of wine, both not available. Server dropped off food and drinks never once asked our our food was. Go for a drink and wtach a game but give the food a miss.

We had some friends in from Spain and took them to Baru. We were impressed with the cerviche, creative cokctails, and friendly SA service. Great food, lovely room, and atentive service. Dishes are very creative and a nice selection of intresting Chilean wines.

What a great looking room, right out of Wallpaper, nice tunes, and sexy staff. Cocktails are all too sweet and focus on pretty colours rather than showing off the booze. Wine list is the best in the Gastown/Chinatown hood although chill Winston and Salt have more by the glass. Food is mediocre at best and dessert shameful.

Love the room, cocktails, and beer selections but the service is horrid and the room too loud. Tagines are not what they are cracked up to be and not authentic. Beautiful plating and presentation but otheriwse disappointing.

had a great evening here. Room full of energy, food o.k. and rinks pretty cheap. Attentive service. Beminded me of some of the lounges that we have back in Spain. Better wine by the glass selection would be nice.

Not NY but NY prices

Great room on a very bad alley way. The room is very minimalist (Inform Interiors) but badly designed acoustics (too loud to talk) . Wine list iflights are over priced with odd BC wines that are not good indicators of what BC is doing. Cheeses are interesting but the meats (over priced compared to Granville Ilsnad or Commercial Street). Service was o.k. but not what it is cracked upto be. I'd rather spend this kind of money in New York or Seattle.
