Marcello Pizzeria1404 Commercial, Vancouver
Solid!
Submitted Friday, July 30, 2010 - 10:38pm [Dine in]

Stopped in at Marcello's for a weekend lunch.

We were seated immediately, and given our menus and prompted for drinks, which we declined.

We ordered the pizza contadina, and the baked canelloni stuffed spinach and ricotta. Both were very good, albiet the pizza was a little soggy in the middle.

Our server was quite pleasant, and prompt. The room is very bright and warm

Look out Malones
Submitted Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 3:42pm [Dine in]

What a great move changing the old Malones over at the Local and Nimbys. Spicy thai Chicken and a whiskey sour in a boot. This place is great i go there at lewats 3 times a week for the comfortable feel, all the staff are having fun and take great care of everyone. It a great move opening up more, this is the hottest local spot in kitts.

Lack of Service
Submitted Friday, April 24, 2009 - 11:31am [Dine in]

Finally made it to Market very excited with all of the reviews, to no suprise the food was great( love the sable fish) and well priced. But the service was poor to horrible the entire time form the greeters at the door to our server. The staff seem to act as if they rather be anywhere else than working at one of,whats supposed to be one of the best new spots in the city. We had to ask for service numerous times, our drinks sat empty most of our stay. What do you need to do to get a drink? I mean all we wanted to do is sit and spend money. I would rethink management training and whose looking over the staff training . Unfortunatley i wont be back there are too many new places in the city.

Will try again-but not soon
Submitted Thursday, April 23, 2009 - 4:17pm [Dine in]

Food quality is like what you get at food courts, but you have to wait 3 times longer even though we were the only table there on a friday night . The only good thing is the huge portion. But then why would you want so much of something that's just passable? No wonder there isn't a lot of people there or could it have been the staff that didnt care to be there either. I don't think I will be back any time soon.

Good lunch
Submitted Monday, April 20, 2009 - 11:53pm [Dine in]

Easily the best french dining restaurant for lunch on the west coast -My friend had some fantastic champagne and overall the experience was simply amazing. I highly reccomend any of the desserts when finished.

This kind of lunch doesn't come cheap; but we will return since it is is worth spending your hard earned cash where it is worth the experience! My new favorite spot for lunch

Found Rodneys Yaletown is hands down better than the one in King West Toronto:) No suprise there can't wait to return

Tojo Top
Submitted Monday, April 13, 2009 - 4:31pm [Dine in]

Finally made it in to Tojo's the food and it was amazing. It's hard to say anything about anything else. I went for the food and left amazed by it.

Service was ok, not the best but considering the level of food that was presented it must be hard to keep up we went to experience the menu.

We can't wait to go back

Turned on to this hotspot by friends and love the place- although very, very loud inside its barely noticeable with the crowd and how busy it was- Went with a chefs tating menu for two- again a bit pricey but worth it- was $150- for two of us but it was amazing - Morocan spiced striploin and asain long beans were my fav's of the night- and for the location of the restaurant its just what the city ent district needs-Good luck to them- i will be back

Solid dinning experience
Submitted Monday, March 10, 2008 - 8:50pm [Dine in]

All around great dining experience from the friendly woman on the phone making our reservation to the pleasant waitress. Food was beautifully presented and even better tasting. Prices were right on the money for the portion and the location. Overall just a wonderful little neighborhood place with a friendly staff and great kitchen
