a lovely place to discover

I went for the second time to have dinner at Saveur last week.
I had a great experience. Food was excellent, ambiance was cosy,
service was efficient. The owner/server was very good at recommending wine to pair with the food. It s nice to have a place
where you can go for a romantic dinner or with some friends and know the place will be the perfect setting for a conversation and you wont be seated 2 inches appart from the other tables...Not the place you go to be seen, the place you go to enjoy yourself!

Definitely classy...

I' ve been to Desi downtown twice and both times I ve been pleasantly surprised by the tasty food. I hope other Westender hurry to visit as the place is always empty and I'm scared It won't last too long...Don't want to lose another good/cheap/not chinese
restaurant in the area.Long live to Desi Downtown! (but please take off the menu the ?indian? nachos !?!!!)

I ve been twice to Marmalade over the last past 2 years. It s one of the only few patio in town! On the first time,we sat outside and after 25 min. I had to go get the menus at the bar as nobody had been to our table yet...After another 20 min. we were still waiting for service staff to come and take our order. Another 10 min. and we left. Last summer, we decided to give Marmalade another try. Infortunately, same story again :long, long wait. This time for the food. We had the time to finished our glasses of wine before the SALADS arrived. That is 45 min. after we ordered. The food was definitely not up to the wait, especially the salad with dressing that had SO much tarragon in it it was sickening. I mentionned to the waiter who said he would mentionned it to the manager. 20 min later, no news from the manager who looked quite busy eating HIS MEAL inside the restaurant. When I mentionned it again to the server, same story. We left 20 min. later, food untouched on the table, no apologies from anybody(for the long, long wait or the uneatable food), not even a word from the manager who obviously didn t give a damn. Bad food, bad service! (guys, this is not London so maybe you should care about your guests more than your pretty face...)
