I'd never hear about this place until I saw it reviewed on this website. I like Indian food so I went for it. Its a VERY nice looking place, decore is interesting and engaging. The service was great, dont have a single complaint when it came to the staff, they were always there taking care of us at every turn, constantly checking up on us, which is more so impressive given how busy it was when we went in. The food, OH MAN! the food, was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S-E, true authentic SE Asian food. Will definitely go back first chance I get!

The title says it all: Good Food @ Decent Price. I'd recomend this spot for anyone looking for some decent Japanese food at a reasonable price. The service is friendly and the overall experience is warm & inviting.

This visit was very unlike our first. I'll keep it short & sweet. We had the same server as the last time, this time around she was full of life and as cheerfull as ever. The food again it was solid, nothing spectacular given the prices, but a good deal non the less.

Souvlaki
Submitted Sunday, May 14, 2006 - 9:12pm [Dine in]

Stumbled into George's on a whim with some friends, based on a review I've read on this site I decided to try the Chicken Souvlaki, it lived up to it's reputation!!! I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was "Fun" there were alot of people and the place was active. The service staff were all very upbeat and bubbly. Overall, if your looking for as casual place to sit back, have something to eat and a few drinks this a good place where it won't cost you a whole lot.

Return Visit

My last visit to the American Grill was a favourable one, we experienced their $34 3 course feature menu, which as we learned they update every two weeks, so, we returned.

We arrived and through the hotels main lobby, were pleasently greeted by the bell boy and proceeded to the Grill, where we were promptly greeted & seated at a window table with a view of the busy itersection of Westminster & Minoru next to two elephent statues, overall it was a nice table. Our server, a very lively woman came over shortly after we were seated & took our drink orders and recited the days specials.

My colleague went for the 3 course dinner again & from what I can tell he enjoyed it. Myself on the other hand, I wasn't looking for such a filling meal so I ordered off their regular menu and went for their steak & blue cheese salad. I was intrigued by the combination, so I decided to be brave it allthough I was initially a bit skeptical but was reassured by the waitresses assurance that it was very good. End result, as Emrald might say: "BAM!!!", It was one of the better dished I've had when dining out in the recently, It was just what I was looking for, I had my protien from the steak, which was made to my specifications, eating salad, well in my book if you ate salad thats eating healthy and the blue cheese just added a dimention to the meal that was both unexpected and vey much enjoyed & overall it was the perfect balance between not being too heavy & not being too light.

Overall, this is my second favourable experience at this establishment, I like the atmosphere, the location is convienent for me, the service is good and so far, I'm just loving the food.

A good place
Submitted Saturday, April 22, 2006 - 4:02pm [Dine in]

Had dinner at Joey's for the first time last night for a friends birthday. I had the Steak & Prawns, steak portion was a bit smaller than what you might expect for the price, but other than that, the dish was very good. Tried the famed apple pie & it did live up to the hype & then some; Best I've ever tasted.
