Me and my fiance were driving down the Londsdale the other day and the big sign PERSELOLIS RESTAURANT & LOUNGE so we decided to try it as we have many persian friends, we were interested what is this restaurant like. We were impressed right when we walked in, the ambiance suppriced me to be honest. It was wednesday evening so the restaurant was not that crowded which we really prefered as we were told it s packed each weekend. We highly appreciated the romantic, family atmosphere. We tried eggplant dipp first followed by chicken and sirloin Kebab. It was just delicious! We LOVED the food. Our server was very sweet and kind. Recommended us great bottle of wine and we shared just unforgetable moment after a long time. We had blessed! We ascaped at least for hour from everyday rush. After all the bill was around $50 which was reasonable. I m going to recommend this place for all my co-workers and friends. Sweet experience!

Try it for yourself-I did and wasn't disappointed

Me and my wife reside downtown but every saturday night, we find ourselves crossing the bridge to explore a new restaurant for a new dining experience. Our persian friends told us about Persepolis being the number one rated persian restaurant on the north shore but they told us that they also serve french, italian and other mediterranean fusion dishes. The ambiance and decor was lively and warm (we especially liked the upscale lounge-great for canucks games). The music really set the tone for the evening and gave an overall romantic feel to our dinner. The menu was vast with many options that were all true to their name (cuisine du soleil). We had the Aubergine to start and I had the Wild Salmon while my wife had the Chicken kebab. The salmon was fresh and light and the chicken was flavourful and juicy. Being a fine dining restaurant, their dinner prices, unlike their lunch ones, are a little more pricier but i found the value outstanding as they were very generous with the goat cheese on the Aubergine, the size of my Sockeye salmon was filling and my wife even had to take half of her chicken home in a doggy bag. Our server was friendly too.
I'm surprised to read these negative reviews as we had a great experience so I advise you to try it for yourself!

I found last Saturday after a bike ride. The place is inviting and cozy and the ambiance was warm. I'm a big pasta fan so that's of course what i ordered---it was finger licking good! The value was amazing because the portion was filling and worth every penny (it wasn't even expensive). I will definitely be bringing my wife here on date night.

My wife and I live in Coal Harbour and enjoy trying out and supporting local restaurants. We first went to Irashai Grill in the fall. The ambiance and decor are unmatched in any other vancouver sushi restaurant and although we loved the food, we felt it was too pricey. Since then we have gone many times especially since they've added new combos (skyplate etc) which are incredibly delicious and surprisingly affordable. We now go often and haven't been disappointed. I encourage you to try it out!
