Not many people like Hainanese chicken because it is served in cold with no steam smell. However, if you like it, you definitely need to try Cafe D'lite.
Hainanese chicken on rice is very famous in Singapore and it is like the national dish of this small country. I don't know if the owner is Singaporen. But the taste is as good as other established franchise such as Five Star Hainanese Chicken Rice, and Boon Tong Kee. Cafe D'lite's chicken is very special in terms of taste and appearance. At many other places, the taste of chicken depends on the sauce. Without the sauce, the chicken itself is tasteless. However, Cafe D'lite makes the chicken so good that I could finish the whole dish without using any sauce. Another good thing about their chicken is boneless. This is matching our fast-food culture that not only serving fast, but also eating fast. As we don't need to worry about bones in Chicken, most people can finish the dish under 3 minutes and let the stomach enjoy the good taste for the whole afternoon.

If you are looking for something quick, filling, and fairly cheap, e-canteen is your place. My friends always go by here for a bite after a study session. Apparence wise they look more or less like any other hk style cafe - same with their menu.
okay service with a occasional smile. Sometimes they gave me wrong orders. when i asked for sausages, they gave me ham... that's not the best part. the best part is the lady there grabbed my knife off the table and pulled the ham off the plate and ONTO the table.
