Kino Cafe Flamenco and Tapas Bar3456 Cambie Street, Vancouver
Inspiring Music and Atmosphere
Submitted Thursday, July 3, 2008 - 7:58pm [Dine in]

The Kino is one of the best-kept secrets in the Vancouver music scene. The food is nothing special, but it's inexpensive and more then edible, and the sangria is excellent. The real draw here is the live entertainment, which is exceptional every night of the week. There is flamenco on most nights, with impassioned performances by beautiful dancers and skilled musicians. Gypsy jazz Mondays are also worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of the likes of Django Reindhardt. The atmosphere is incredible, and on many nights I've gone for dinner and stayed into the long hours of the morning, as impromptu performance follows impromptu performance and couples get up to dance.
