Great coffee....If you are used to getting Espresso drinks
Submitted Thursday, October 7, 2010 - 11:16am [Take-out]

I LOVE the mocha at Caffe Artigianos. I think it is better than the ones you can get at Blenz or Starbucks. Of course however it is not cheap...so I will only get it once in a blue moon.

I agree with the other comments - if you are getting coffee on a daily basis this is probably not the coffee for you. This is more for the occasional indulgence into something that is really good!

Not as good as before
Submitted Thursday, October 7, 2010 - 11:09am [Dine in]

I remember when we first went to BC Sushi a few years back it was the best AYCE place I have been to with good quality food at a reasonable price. Well now they have switched their menus so the top menu is quite expensive and it seems like their food quality has degraded. I still like going there every so often but being in Richmond it just doesn't seem to be worth the drive anymore...

Go there for late night if you are not up for AYCE
Submitted Thursday, October 7, 2010 - 11:07am [Dine in]

I usually only go to Matsuyama after 9pm because of the late night menu. I think the sushi is a bit overpriced if you go during dinner time. My favorite sushi there is their chopped scallop and crab salad nigiri. I also think they have very good beef sashimi - which is good since it is also on their late night menu. And their Saba sushi is usually good.

Good AYCE
Submitted Thursday, October 7, 2010 - 11:04am [Dine in]

This is one of the AYCE place I would consistently go to for good AYCE sashimi and sushi. Price is pretty standard with all the other AYCE places but the food quality in my opinion is much better than any other place in Richmond.

I really love toro so having toro sashimi as one of the options is awesome. I also like their korean salmon sashimi. I think they also use better udon than some other AYCE places - I always end my meal there with a chicken or beef udon.

I have never tried their hot pot option though...

Love the scallop magma roll
Submitted Wednesday, January 20, 2010 - 1:15pm [Dine in]

I come to Shota every so often (it's kind of far since I live in Richmond) but this is definitely one of the places I would go if I wasn't thinking of all-you-can-eat. Their scallop magma roll is REALLY good and I will always order it. Their tempura is also very fresh.

I'm not sure how it was for other people but we are always greeted promptly when we arrive and food usually come quickly.
