For some Good & Hot take-out Chinese Food
Submitted Tuesday, January 6, 2009 - 7:04pm [Dine in]

Good food and value for the cost, especially on Monday and Tuesdays, they offer every third item at 3.33.

Each time I pickup the food, the owner is very nice and attentive.

Been here a few times, have gotten to know them.

Yes, it is a small restaurant, but the food is good in portion & taste.

I would definitely go back again.

Lots of other places with better value
Submitted Friday, December 19, 2008 - 6:50pm [Dine in]

Wonton King has been around for quite awhile. Last time I came here was about 3-4 years ago.

We came here for lunch today. We were seated quickly.

We ordered 6 different lunch specials. The "included" soup came quickly, but the main dishes came sporatically, at least 45 minutes between the first and the last.

When I asked the waiter how come it was taking so long, he said the restaurant was busy and that we had to wait, even though I saw other patrons, who came in after us, get their meals quicker.

The meals were smaller in quantity than other similar chinese restaurants, but they costs more.

Not what I expected, for a restaurant that has been part of South Vancouver scene for awhile.

Amazing Dim Sum
Submitted Tuesday, November 11, 2008 - 6:11pm [Dine in]

Called ahead for a reservation for 14. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. The Dim Sum is amazing here, the Hargow and Siu Mai are the best value. Taste is great and size of each piece is twice the size of other dim sum places. We had the Sticky rice in lotus leaf, egg tarts, hum sui gok, spare ribs, lo bak go, taro root, shrimp egg rolls, tofu wrapped pork, BBQ pork buns, sesame balls, green beans in garlic, Rice in hot pot with chicken, shrimp rice wraps, chicken feet, deep fried squid, .... probably forgot a few dishes, but we were definitely full & satisfied. The cost was also a good value ... came out to about 7 bucks per person (including tip).

I have been here approximately 10x previously, for dim sum, each time has always been great.

I definitely recommend this place to all dim sum lovers.

Been to quite a few AYCE Sushi places ... this place is not bad
Submitted Saturday, October 25, 2008 - 10:57pm [Dine in]

I love Salon Sashimi, so I order lots of it ... pieces are fresh and hugh. We went to dinner tonite with a table of 17 people.

The Waiter was nice and attentive, the food came quick and was hot & fresh.

Been here a few times already, each time it was good. Having the AYCE sushi & hot pot was too much food, so we had just the AYCE selections.

Only point I wonder about is that when one orders, say 20 pieces of tempura, why do they only give 15? Or when I order 30 orders of Salmon Sashimi, only 15 comes. this only makes us order more the second round.

All in all, good food, value and staff.

Will definitely be back.
