Returned for MORE!
Submitted Friday, July 23, 2010 - 9:11am [Dine in]

Returned for the AYCE dinner for $ 18.95

Again the food were very solid. Fried chicken wings came very hot and burnt my mouth. The food came quicker this time only 2-3 minutes after ordering.

Sashimi etc all were very solid.

The service was quicker also, probably due to different waitress.

Definitely will return again!!

Food - given the price, the quality is unbeatable

Service - fairly fast and good. especially after 9pm service is very fast.

Value - their $ 10 - 3 options menu is the best

Ambiance - very clean restaurant compare to other Chinese restaurants.

WARNING parking is horrible and worst! Never has any parking...

Excellent food!
Submitted Tuesday, May 4, 2010 - 10:10pm [Dine in]

I love going there for the food, love their friend chicken, squid dishes although the portion can be a little bigger for the price they charge.

The noodles were delicious. The rice was decent but portion was very small.

All around their food, service, ambiance and value are solid.

On weekends be sure to make reservation otherwise expect to wait 15-30 minutes...

Weekdays it is less busy and I was able to get a table without problem.

You are paying for the view...
Submitted Tuesday, May 4, 2010 - 10:01pm [Dine in]

Went there for Dine Out Vancouver 2010.

$ 38 menu.

The price VS food size portion ratio was horrible. The appetizer (ordered Prawns) was so small, came with 3 prawns although the sauce was very good. The main course Shortribs was good but again very small. The salmon was better in terms of taste and texture. Don't need to comment on dessert.

The service was solid like most dine outs.

The value is just NOT there.

The best part was pretty much the view of the beach. You are pretty much paying for the view...

Nothing spectacular.

Dine Out Vancouver menu was a rip off.

Will not return.

AYCE
Submitted Saturday, February 21, 2009 - 12:35am [Dine in]

Horrible service, missing ordering, and expect tips? No way.

I would never return after having been to this place quite a few times before.

Simple words: This restaurant has gotten to the point of 'No return', literally.

This place SUCK and is destine for closure.

No worries, plenty of Japanese places in Metro Van.

Weekend AYCE
Submitted Monday, February 9, 2009 - 5:15pm [Dine in]

Had the weekend AYCE for $ 18.

Food - solid food quality overall. decent variety. too bad had to add extra $$ for the surf clams. Usual fat beef = good! When ordered 10 plates, they do give you 10 plates! So order if you can finish. Each plate had 7 thin splices. Their fried chicken was GREAT!

Service - was okay, had to keep asking for tea. and the waiter/tress didn't look like they had a great day (bad mood?) lol

Value - excellent value. good price for quality. way better than Little Fat Sheep (Lansdowne) where we had 5 people cost $ 200.

Ambiance - don't expect fancy decoration etc. just need pot, table, chairs and EAT!

Parking - Got to the restaurant early so parking was not a problem (but it might be a problem when its around 7pm)

Lunch AYCE
Submitted Tuesday, March 25, 2008 - 2:16am [Dine in]

Had the lunch AYCE.

Food - want sashimi at lunch tiem need to add $ 3/ person. Salmon/Tune sushi were not that fresh. The Chop Scallop roll was good, also the oysters were very big. But had to wait a long time for Oysters to come. The other usual japanese foods (beef, chicken terrayaki) etc were not bad.

Service - the waiter was quite good, fast and prompt service, refills tea as soon as cup is empty.

Place/Restaurant - quite good decoration of the place overlooking the river. need to open the windows for some fresh air though. Table for four was quite big but food came quite slowly so never needed all that room

Parking is free for the 1 hr, and 2nd hr is free for minimum purchase of $ 5.

Late Night Menu again
Submitted Friday, March 21, 2008 - 12:50am [Dine in]

went for late night again.

just wanted to add that their Oysters were quite decent. At least the size of it is alright. cause some restaurants' oysters were so small that can't even find the oyster in the cheesed-up shell!

Submitted Wednesday, February 27, 2008 - 10:14pm [Dine in]

Food - Food was good. Had the beef noodles. Soup was good, soup don't seem to have any MSG GOOD! Had the choice of small or large bowl like those Vietnamese Pho noodles. Prices were decent around $5-7 depending on the size of the noodle you choose.

Service - the waiter/tress were very good. fast with refilling tea/ taking orders. The only other thing I had to say was I ordered the mild spicy beef noodle, and my friend ordered super spicy beef. When the 1st bowl of beef came the waiter (was a young kid) said it was mild beef. When I started eating it, I noticed it was SUPER spicy beef!!! Hahaha.

Place/Restaurant - quite small and limited number of tables (around/under 10 tables). It was busy at like 8pm and people were already waiting outside... The waiters took our orders when we were standing outside, waiting for our table!! Overall it was a clean place. Have parking near the restaurant but the spaces are limited also (under 10 spaces) and spaces were very cramped (watch out if you drive a SUV).

but the table/chair settings are quite good both in and outside. and it is quite clean.

For the price and the location its decent
Submitted Wednesday, January 30, 2008 - 12:17am [Dine in]

They have the normal individually priced meals along with party trays (take outs) for $ 20-45.

"Eat-in Experience" ----

Food - the shrimp tempura/ other tempura SUCKED! The flour on the shrimp was so thick! But the salmon/tuna sushi were decent for the price. Individual meals were around $ 7-15 each. The size of the food were decent, not too small or big. There are side orders for other food also.

Service - the waitress speak somewhat understandable English. VERY SLOW in giving new customers tea (we had to ask for tea after sitting down). And slow in refilling tea. Food arrived in decent time after ordering. The waitress' service IMO did not warrant my tips to her. I rather do 'take-out'.

Location/Restaurant - good location if live in or around Surrey. plenty of parking. Have a sushi bar (the sushi person putting together the raw food) on the side with 5-10 tables through out the restaurant room. Tables were abit small.

"Take-out Experience (Party Tray)" ---

Call 1 day in advance get 10% off, 2 hrs in advance get 5% off.

have 2 versions of the $ 20 tray: one have more # of pieces of roll (mainly with rolls, almost no salmon/tuna); the other tray has less number of sushi/rolls (but with salmon, tuna, shrimp etc)

Food: good size party trays and different kind of trays (4) to choose from (feeding 2-8 people). food is decent for the value. Always on time for pick up.

Pretty good for food.
Submitted Tuesday, January 29, 2008 - 3:48pm [Dine in]

Had the night all you can eat menu $ 22.99.

Food - Food was pretty good. Had all the sashimi (beef, salmon etc). Salmon/tune sashimi was served on ICE. They had this tune sashimi with ginger- type sauce on top, that was great! Sushi rolls were very good, had 15-20 varieties (the spider roll was the best IMO). No shrimps. Oysters were WAY too small, couldn't even find the oysters inside the shell with all that cheese. Cold food (sashimi etc) was served fast but the cooked food (chicken, beef terayaki etc) was SUPER SLOW.

Service - the waiter/tress were alright, pretty slow with refilling tea.

Place/Restaurant - excellent decoration of the place, the look/feel was quite good. Tables for four was decent size so even if lots of food on the table, still have room left for more food.

Pretty decent all you can eat late night
Submitted Tuesday, January 29, 2008 - 3:38pm [Dine in]

Had the late night all you can eat.

Food - Food was pretty good, not to the level of fine dine sushi, but level was good for all you can eat. oysters taste and size were alright, not so small that you can't even find it in the ocean of cheese in the shell. No Sashimi, just salmon/tune sushi for the all you can eat late night menu.

Service - the waiters' service were alright, not paying much attention to the customers, just want to take down what you want to order and seems like in a hurry to do other things. But food arrived pretty fast, usually within 5 min. after ordering.

Overall - pretty good overall for the all you can eat menu.
