Definitely Going Back Again!

My favorite dim sum restaurant! The price is right. They serve fresh dim sum (not that frozen crap) and the portions are of good size. Usually, my friends and I cannot eat more than $35 altogether. Service is above average, but the food makes up for it!

It is a bit cramped and it is quite noisy (so a crying infant wont annoy anyone) and the wait is usually always around 10 minutes or more, so get there early! (I am referring to 9 or 9:30 am). Parking, although free, is hard to find once the crowds arrive, so again go early!

Yummy in my Tummy!

My favorite Chinese restaurant for dinner! I have not yet tried their dim sum, so I cannot comment on that, but their food is delicious when it comes to dinner. All I can say is, Kirin's chefs are top notch Chinese chefs. Believe me, I am very hard to please when it comes to Chinese food. Kirin and one other Chinese restaurant in Vancouver made the cut for me (I made a review on the other one too). Also, the service is wonderful. The servers come around to change our plates and refill our tea pots without being asked. We were always immediately served when we needed them. Lastly, their desserts (usually a sweet soup): again, no one can make it like these guys.

A good place for a banquet, a party or just dinner.

Every time I go, I receive the same, if not better service. The food is delicious without a doubt. Even the bread that they serve is delicious! The view is spectacular and can be seen at almost every table. The restaurant's layout is perfect for either tea time outside on the patio during a beautiful spring day or a romantic dinner inside overlooking Vancouver's city lights.

Appetizers that you must try include the "Beef Carpaccio" and the Mixed "Seasonal Greens maple vinaigrette, candied almonds, fresh berries, goat cheese" .

No doubt about it, this is a 5 star restaurant!

Yummy Thai food!

Service was pretty good.

The pineapple fried rice with chicken was just superb! The pad thai is just as good as my current favorite Thai Cafe. Just delicious.

They have promos, just ask the servers. They mentioned to us what coupons were available and they offered the same promotion to us despite us having any. Very nice people.

Parking: ok, its downtown. Its going to be expensive and its going to be hard to find. Be prepared to circle a bit if you go during peak hours. The parking lot in front of the restaurant will be full and its a narrow, one way lane out of that parking lot. Careful not to scratch someone's car!

I would go back more often, but it is a little expensive for my taste. Since I can go to Thai Cafe and get the same meal for $8. I'd probably go there on a more formal occasion.

Anyways, enjoy!

I will never eat at this store again!

Hi guys, I posted this review for my friend. She typed this out and sent it to me to post on Yelp.

I just wanted to share my experience with the staff and manager of this store. Well, I work near Bentall Mall and I eat there quite often during lunch hours. One day, after having lunch at Fresh, I decided to take a picture of the store front because my coworker had a hard time finding the place, so I thought it would be easier for her with a photo.

Well, as I took my cell phone out and was in the process of taking a picture, the employees shouted "Excuse me!! You can't take a picture!! You can't take a picture!!" One employee stormed off to the back and shouted at the manager "She's taking a picture!! She's taking a picture!!", which caused the manager to come out and have a talk to me. The manager then told me it was against Bentall Mall's policy to take pictures inside and that there was a concern with poaching in the downtown area.

I was extremely embarrassed and humiliated at this point in time because I know there were many people watching the staff and manager publicly humiliate me. I told the manager that I was trying to take a picture for my coworker because she had a hard time finding the place and that I was not doing anything wrong or bad and that I certainly was not poaching. She told me "it's one thing to give an address, and it's another to take a picture". Well, if she had been listening properly she would understand I did that because my coworker had a hard time with verbal instructions!!

Aside from Bentall Mall's policy, the staff and manager had no excuse for treating me like that and accusing me of doing something wrong or bad when I was trying to promote their business, not hinder it! They had no excuse for shouting at me and humiliating me in public. They were all unprofessional and they handled the situation extremely poorly. In the end, I was so embarrassed so I told the manager I was sorry and that I did not know the policy, so I could leave and not be humiliated any further.

I will never eat at this store ever again!
