My husband and I have driven by Ozark's many times, and yesterday decided to stop in and try it out. At 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon, we were surprised to be the only people in the restaurant. The entire time we were there, no other customers came in except for one other couple that arrived just as we were leaving. This should have been a clue.
Service was just okay. The waitress was a bit sloppy in appearance.
The food on the other hand...not sure what made them "famous" but it definitely isn't the food. My son's fries were soggy and undercooked. My salad was old, the tomatoes tasted tinny, and my burger, yikes. I ordered the mushroom mozzarella burger: what I received was two greasy patties stacked on top of each other (they "ran out" of the larger home-made patties). Waitress insisted they were made in-house, but they obviously were store bought sub-par beef. I had to use a napkin to sop up the grease.
My husband's chicken burger wasn't much better: burned on the edges, undercooked in the middle.
We are both thankful we made it out of this experience without food poisoning.
Sorry Ozark's, you need to try harder.
