I meant to leave this review long time ago!
We went there for our last Christmas party and were not disappointed.
Their seafood is delicious and portions are huge. The wine was very good and reasonably priced. Everything else was just delicious as well.
The owner personally served us and came back later to make sure everything was ok.
The food is absolutely to die for. What this place lacks is nice renovation. The tables are plain and it doesn't look like a proper restaurant. That's my only complaint.
I would come back again as I couldn't find seafood that good anywhere in the Lower Mainland.
This sushi place is very ordinary.
I didn't like their sushi rolls, too much rice and dry. I wouldn't go there again even though it is located next door to our house. The price is not too high.
The place is small and dark inside. It doesn't look strikingly clean. It took them forever to prepare our meal even though our order was very plain, just simple regular rolls.
To their credit, the service was very friendly and they made an effort to serve us well.
I think if they changed their chef this place would be much more popular.
This is one of my favorite sushi places in Maple Ridge. It is a bit expensive for a quick bite, but the quality and freshness of sushi wouldn't disappoint you. It is cozy inside and service is fast.
Rolls are full and moist, not too much rice.
I would definitely come back again. This restaurant is very conveniently located next to Save on Foods so it will make a good place for a quick lunch or take out.
If you want to go to a real restaurant , go to Shinobi but this place ranks no. 1 in my list of take-outs or quick sushi places in Maple Ridge.
Nothing special but good place if you are in hurry. Convenient location with lots of parking. Sushi is a bit on a dry side. Fast service. I wasn't too impressed and probably wouldn't come back again as sushi is average and prices are not cheap. There are plenty of other better places in Maple Ridge that I would rather go to.
I have been to this sushi place many times and it didn't disappoint me ever! Sushi and sashimi are very fresh. Rolls are full and not to much rice.
Last time we went for our company Christmas dinner and ordered Deluxe Sushi and Sashimi party tray.
Everything was excellent. Sashimi was extraordinary fresh and moist.
I will come here again and again.
Ever their service is pretty good (unlike many other Japanese and Asian places). The waitress smiled and was quite polite.
Probably best sushi restaurant in Maple Ridge.
The only complaint I have is their benches, quite uncomfortable, but I guess it's their traditional stuff.
We came here about a year ago, and I was really surprised by a really pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. The food was very good as well, though I don't particularly like pasta.
I would definetely come again for the service and ambiance! Very romantic place as well.
I've been recommended this restaurant by my friend. We came here with my husband on Friday night. Let me say: my husband doesn't like sushi.
We took assorted sushi and baked salmon sushi. I've tried a lot of sushi around lower mainland, but the baked salmon sushi was just incredible, hot rice, hot salmon with hot melted cheese on top. Really unsual combination.
The rest of the sushi and gyoza was very good as well.
Our bill came to $30, not cheap but definetely worth the money.
The ambiance is pleasant, the service is not bad for an asian place. THe waitresses speak decent English.
Highly recommended!!! I would come again!
