We love this restaurant, for the area, given that Maple Ridge doesn't have the greatest selection or quality of restaurants. We have always found the service to be okay, but they are often under staffed. Ambiance is quite nice and cozy.
The pasta is great. The real hit though is the mediteranean appy platter for two that comes with a selection of yummies including calamari, antipasto, italian sausage, broushetta (sp?), and more. Generous portion that could easily fill up two light eaters!

Lately we've been really disappointed with the GM. We used to be regulars, but have found the service declining. We were there recently with friend and the two guys ordered beers. We were never asked through the whole evening if we would like more water or beer.
The food is okay, but seems impossible to get anything really hot, "Indian Hot". Always comes out medium. We also like Indian restaurants that include naan and rice with the meal. Everything here has to be purchased separately which makes the price add up for what should be cheap-ish Indian food. There are only a few combo meals, which get a bit boring after a few visits.

We recently moved from the West End to Pitt Meadows and are searching for the best sushi restaurant in the area. We go to Hokkaido fairly frequently, and are never disappointed. The cold food is fresh and cooked food hot. Service is friendly and fairly fast.
Below, someone mentioned rice being dry. That seems to have been corrected. We have found the food actually getting better in the last 6 months. The rice has been really fresh and they added scallops maki to the menu.
And I actually find the selection quite good. I wish they had unagi nigiri (they only include a nigiri cone), but other than that all the basics are there. Good tempura and we love there seafood yakisoba.
