A friend took me to this restaurant last night because he liked it so much. He said it was usually busy because the food was so good and the prices were so reasonable.
Indeed, though it was only a Tuesday night, there were 6 people waiting when we arrived. We were seated after only a few minutes, though.
I was quite impressed. The portions are unusually generous. Most sushi restaurants consider 6 pieces of sushi roll a standard order. At Sushi Town, it's 8 pieces. I ordered a "small" green salad and was brought one about 18 cm wide that took me quite a while to finish. My order of agadashi tofu didn't just fill the bowl, but rose a couple of inches above it.
And the food was great, too. They certainly didn't cut corners to make up for the large portions. Everything was fresh and delicious. It was considerably better than the all-you-can-eat sushi at other places—and yet for the same price as all-you-can-eat, we got MORE food than we could eat, and had to take some home!
Finally, I found the service outstanding. Even though the place was packed and the servers were especially busy, the two women who waited on us were quite friendly, and the rest of the staff appeared to be relaxed and positive in spite of the rush. My friend and I both wondered, "How do they do it?"
I'm quite surprised by these other reviews... Maybe the management has changed since they were posted? In any case, I have nothing but positive things to say about this restaurant and recommend it highly.
Cheers, Ander
