I had a craving for sushi and was suggested by a co-worker to go to tanpopo's. They've been going there for their lunch breaks for the longest time and now I know why. They have all you can eat!!!!
for under 14 dollars you get sashimi, sushi, rolls, and tons of cooked stuff.
I had a great time there, got lucky with a windown seat to watch the traffice on denman. The fish is so fresh and the teriyaki was so moist and yummy sweet.
service was fast and on my way out I saw on the menu japanese beer for less than 3 bucks a pop!!! Gotta go back and get that after my work day!!

I have been to this place twice now and have left pretty happy customer. The only thing that irks me is the tight seating arrangement, but I can't complain too much because its their style and adds to the experience. They always greet you at the door loudly which is their custom. The servers are always anxious to help and very sincere it seems.
The food is standard japanese cook dishes which are tasty but small portion. They are well made and I havent had a bad serving in my two visits there yet.
Sometimes its busy so you have to wait for a table, but its a great place to meet up with your friends before a movie or something
