Three Lions Cafe1 East Broadway, #1, Vancouver
First visit, will definitely be back!
Submitted Saturday, August 15, 2009 - 10:00am [Dine in]

Visited the Three Lions last night for the first time, and it will definitely not be the last. I asked the server to recommend a nice hoppy beer and his recommendation - an IPA from a brewery in New York - was perfect! We just enjoyed a couple of food items to share and were very impressed by the presentation. The zucchini sticks were long (about the size of the entire zucchini) and were done perfectly, the feta dip was also very good. We also shared the cesear salad whose presentation again was outstanding, dressing was ok. Great atmosphere, very good service the entire night, and definitely a lot of fun.

Double DD Pizza3510 4th Avenue West, Vancouver
Fantastic Food, great prices - our little secret...shhhhh
Submitted Thursday, August 13, 2009 - 10:46pm [Dine in]

Double DD's has been one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver for years. Family owned, its the kind of place where you go regularly and everyone knows your name. The food is consistently great - and for very reasonable prices. A pasta dish with meat sauce is just over 7 dollars and it comes with salad and garlic bread. You can upgrade to the greek salad for an extra $2.50 - i always do, definitely worth it. The drink prices are also very reasonable. My friend and I went earlier this year and had a pasta special (of course with the yummy greek salad), one of their great pizzas and a bottle of wine for less than $50. You do not get that anywhere! While we can usually find an available table, last Thursday was one of the first times I had been there and it has been absolutely packed! I think the secret of this family gem is finally spreading beyond us Kitsilano folks.
