Though the table for 4 people was booked, we arrived on time and there were empty tables, they had not set a table so we were made to wait with no apology. Menus were brought immediately but after half an hour, we had to approach the staff to ask them to take our order. They forgot to bring half the starters and didn't apologize when we asked for the rest of them. They brought a wrong main meal and even though we twice told them as they put the plates down and they acknowledged our words, they didn't return with the correct dish. Eventually I stood up and asked and was told they had given us the wrong dish. I then had to ask again before they agreed to prepare the right dish. No apologies for this shocking lack of service and we ended up giving a lower than usual tip - that they had the nerve to question! Despite enjoying the food, we will never go back.

We were served excellent food at a low price in this small Kitsilano bistro. The ambiance was great, service was excellent and our only negative was a half hour wait for a table that we had booked and arrived on time for. While we were waiting, the waitress brought over wine and appetizers - and though this was welcome, we were losing our appetite by the time the table was finally free. Though some people had obviously over stayed their welcome, some of the blame must lie with the restaurant for not leaving enough of a gap between sittings.
Regarding the food, I recommend the chicken liver mousse, which was like a good quality european style smooth chicken pate that I used to get in the UK. It easily fed 2 people, as did the vegetable accompaniments to the main course.
All of us would definitely go back - even if it was just for the pate!
