I went to Yiannis on Saturday night with a friend from out of town. He always looks for Greek food when he is in the city. I had read the reviews of all the local Greek places and decided to give Yianni's largely based largely on the reviews here. The ambience was fine and our server was very good. No fault there at all. The food however was a huge letdown. His Saganaki was a greasy mess (and he was very disappointed that it wasn't "flaming"). I ordered the lamb souvlaki (over cooked) with extra salad instead of rice. I should not have bothered - the salad was bland and lifeless and very poorly presented. My friend's meal ( the garlic prawn dinner) arrived in two plates - one loaded with the salad, rice and an anemic looking potatoe, with the prawns in a bowl on the side. Really??? My quest for a decent Greek restaurant in New West continues.
