I`m sure you all know by now that this place is delicious! I have been there a couple of times now and have never been upset with anything. They offer really great fresh meat and seafood cooked at your table by chefs that know what there doing when it comes to japanese style cooking. Great imported beer from japan and you have to try the Saki. I like mine cold. The atmosphere is great with happy people and great tricks by the chefs. They interec with you while they cook and you always have someone taking care of you. The staff is great and the food is to die for. Yes, they use a little too much butter but who doesn`t. The only difference is they do it all in front of you. Clean , fun place and make reservations because it gets busy......Great for birthdays and any other event. Even for a couple!

Yes, It's finally over.... After driving by so many times trying to convince myself to give them a chance i did and it was great. I went to breakfast with 2 friends and we all really loved our breakfast. It's very well priced and everything tasted very home-made and not greasy like other breakfast outlets(Bon's)! The service was really fast and every table looked like they were all enjoying a good breakfast. The waitress was really nice and helpfull. The eggs are organic and local. I had "Steves breakfast" and it was great. You can add any sides to it and i recommend you get a side of beans. My friends ordered the Benny and the Nadine Benny. They both loved it. While we waited for our food we had a short game of pool and after breakfast we had a game of darts. It`s there if you want it however it doesn`t take away from the food. If there is anything bad to say about this place is the inside decor, however if the food is good then who cares. It`s not bad at all....For all people and I hope this helps you pick your next breakfast spot. Another thing i really liked is there really clean washrooms.....That usaully says a lot about the resturant.

Great sushi eats!

This place had really good sushi. Prices are decent and the service is usually good. Good fresh fish and a good crowd overall. Not dressy , so it's a nice place to go on any day of the week. They also have takeout. You should try it if you like sushi.

Tio Pepe's1134 Commercial Drive, Vancouver
Thought it would've been a little better!
Submitted Monday, February 25, 2008 - 12:17am [Dine in]

Being that commercial drive has so many good places to get a bite, i will not return to Tio Pepe's. One reason i go out to eat is to experience something i can't create at home. In short, we would've rather ate at home. The food was bland and it didn't represent what Mexican food should be. Colorful, zesty, and tasty. It was none of those. I hate to be critical and i love supporting the smaller restaurants but they have to step it up. We had calamari to start which was not very good. The same you would get at all you can eat sushi. The salsa was too salty. The water was warm. The burrito plate, the rice was dry , the beans were dry and bland. Salad looked like it was thrown on the plate as a filler. Mexican food should be fresh and tasty. This wasn't. There was no sign of cilantro anywhere. Bad sign. Save you money and go to the red burrito.
