Did you really just give them our table?
Submitted Friday, July 29, 2011 - 3:16pm [Dine in]

Two of us came in on a Tuesday night without a reservation. We were told that it shouldn't be a long wait and the hostess pointed to a table where 2 ladies were about to settle their bill. She said, "You can have that table when they leave." She directed us to the bar, for a drink before we got seated. 5 minutes later another couple came and sat at the bar. 5 minutes later the hostess directed that couple to the table that was pointed out as my party's.

We asked the hostess, "Did you just give our table to that couple that came in after us?" She said yeah, but it wasn't problem because there was more tables available in the back. I responded that regardless, we were here first and that was the table you told us we would be getting. We were not impressed with the aloof behavior of the hostess.

Huh? Why were we waiting at the bar, if more tables were available in the back?

We were seated in the back and told that our server would be with us shortly. 10 minutes later we were greeted by the server. The server did identify that it was her first night and we were impressed with her attention throughout the meal, but having just been dealt with poorly at the bar, the hostess should have directed the server to our table immediately.

The food was okay.

The drink specials were outstanding. $3 for a pint of beer! Wow. That might get me back in the door.

Nicest dinner in a month
Submitted Saturday, September 18, 2010 - 7:01pm [Dine in]

The food and service were excellent. Upon entering, I was surprised at how casual the restaurant appeared. There were many after work people in the lounge and the atmosphere was a lot more casual than I expected.

The heated patio, on a rainy evening, was quite comfortable.

My one complaint is that even with a reservation, I was seated at a non-window seat. At 6:30, the restaurant was only about a third full. I suspect that many eating did not have a reservation. Should you not honor a reservation by saving the prime tables?
