Modern Italian done right.
Submitted Friday, April 2, 2010 - 10:43pm [Dine in]

From start to finish a wonderful experience. This is a modern looking Italian restaurant, with style. The food was well presented, delicious and worth every penny, the service was pleasant, professional and accommodating, and it has a very hip yet classy atmosphere. A very nice experience was had by all.

You call that Sangria?
Submitted Wednesday, March 17, 2010 - 6:41pm [Dine in]

I have been here a few times and it is alright. The food is decent with good portion but a little overpriced. The service from some who work there though is to be desired. There is no real welcoming feel or kindness which you would expect from a server or owner. But to the main point here, the Sangria is a complete disgrace! It is a pitcher full of ice with little wine, spirit(if any) and fruit(three small wedges of fruit, orange and lemon)It is mostly fruit juice. If I want Hawaiian punch I could make it at home for just pennies a glass opposed to the $18 or so it cost here. Definitely disappointing and not worth it.

Well I've driven passed this restaurant many times for many years amd always figured it was kind of a whole in the wall. After reading some solid reviews, my wife and I gave it a shot and we were thoroughly impressed. The service/server was very good. She was delightful to deal with, and the food was outstanding. From the amazing saganaki (authentic, not mozzarella like some use) and also the crisp, tender and tasty calamari, to our mains and dessert, the full dining experience was quite pleasant. Good portions and fair prices as well, we will most definitley become regulars.

Service sooooooo bad
Submitted Thursday, September 17, 2009 - 6:48pm [Dine in]

We were a party of 15, out for the dinner portion of my stag party(also my birthday). We thought that Steamworks was the place to accomodate us all, thinking we would have a great time and good food. The food I suppose was decent but after how our experience went, I don't think anybody even remembers the food. We did book in advance and had the wine room downstairs. Not bad, but it did lack atmosphere aside from what we provided. To start, our waitress for the evening looked completely disinterested in being at work, and just got worse from there. Not a smile or a pleasantry. We were all well behaved. Our service went from poor to non existant. We planned on staying from 6pm until about 9:30pm, and then off to our next adventure, when from just before 8pm, we did not see our waitress until about 8:30pm. We were having to pour our own water, and waiting to order more drinks. On my way to the washroom, the waitress was having a nice ol' time with her friends behind the bar. They easily could have made close to a couple hundred bucks more in business. She came back after her absence with the bill in her hand and us wondering what the heck! We paid, we left, we unfortunatley all spent the next while outraged at how poor our service was. It put a damper on what otherwise was an amazing day. The mandatory tip was in no way deserved. A couple of us including myself called in the following days, and I also sent an email through their websites customer feedback section. I still haven't heard back from anybody.
