it's ok...

Don't understand what all the hype was about. The puffs tasted just like any other puffs. Not worth the price they're selling at and not worth lining up that long for them! Service was polite and fast though. And only rated ambiance poor because it's in a food court, so I guess there's not really any ambiance...

Like to come here for their mini-meals late night which come with drinks (with free refill!). Prices are reasonable for the portion. All the stuff I've tried as tasted fine, sometimes better than the other HK cafes around. My dad likes to come here for breakfast with his friends: 2.99 for 2 pieces of toast, 2 eggs, meat and a refillable drink. Service is quick, efficient, but keeping in mind it's a HK style cafe, not expecting them to be polite or nice and definitely don't expect to argue with them or be compensated for things that go wrong with your meal.

Come here with my family often. We like the relaxing atmosphere, very "homey". Service is always great, although can get really slow at times (so don't go if you're in a hurry!). Food tastes fine, but nothing too exciting. Love their cornbread though. Comfort food in a comfortable environment. Just one complaint: tried their Sunday brunch once, didn't feel it was worth it as variety was lacking (no pancakes or French toast either).

Went there for breakfast with my dad. He had the steak with eggs, comes with roll or toast and drink for $5.25. I had the French toast (w/ drink) for $4.50. Both tasted fine. Portions were good: 2 approx. 6-inch strips of meat, French toast was thick w/ good amount of kaya (coconut jam?) inside, but the syrup it came with is not the thick, gooey golden kind that you expect that comes w/ HK style French toast, it was more like maple syrup. The coffee was weak but the 50-50 coffee HK milk tea mix ("ying yong") was good. Service was decent compared to other HK cafes. Place was clean. Only thing is no more free refills which means no special incentive to choose this place over other HK style cafes.
