Worst Persian Food Ever
Submitted Friday, May 15, 2009 - 8:27pm [Dine in]

Not only was it the worst Persian food (kebabs were greasy, poor quality meat, overcooked).. the staff was rude and the atmosphere was actually scary. They had Al Jazeera cranked on the TV and the dim lighting and cheap - CHEAP cutlery/place settings and creepy menus.

Then I got the bill.. $80 for two people.. $80!! I guess they stay afloat by getting one off customers and renting the floor space for Persian disco nights. Never, ever go here.

So it's gone downhill quite a bit.. I think places need to stop charging $3.00 delivery charge now that the gas prices have gone down. $3.00 was ridiculous even when they were up.

Anyway, the quality of the pizza - it's just OK. It's very unpredictable, but the first dozen times I ordered there it was spectacular. The next handful of times it's been either just OK or not acceptable.

At the price.. you can do a whole lot better. Hope they improve and knock it off with the stupid $3.00 delivery fee and consider running specials.

Ranges from Deplorable to OK

If you get a hankering for breakfast at 2 AM, I guess this is the place if you can't do eggs and pancakes at home. During the day it seems the service is much nicer. The food is still pretty gross though.. especially if you've ever eaten at Denny's in the US. They just seem to take a bit more pride in Denny's down there.

One lady we had as a server was completely rude, forgetful, and just miserable. I let her know so and didn't leave ONE PENNY as a tip. Total witch and have stayed away because of her. Anyways, expect to pay a fair price for food you can tell is cheaply made from poor ingredients - and you'll probably leave feeling that post-MSG ingestion nausea.

Most Impressive Sushi in North Van!

A quaint, smaller restaurant - but don't let this fool you. The warm hospitality and phenomenal food will turn you into a loyal customer. I was certainly skeptical at first, not having enjoyed many of the Japanese restaurants in North Van - but I have to say this place is the winner. It's small, but very clean and feels "homey" and comfortable.

And the prices.. well.. the two of us left extremely full WITH leftovers and the bill was only $20.00. Outstanding.. 5 Stars!!

Yuck!
Submitted Monday, October 27, 2008 - 10:34pm [Dine in]

This is Mexican food, but honestly you'd do better at Taco Bell... I think the closest one is in Delta. Slow service (we sat and waited 30 minutes to even get anybody's attention), unfriendly servers, expensive, and the food was nothing special.

I've been spoiled by excellent Mexican food, but this was lackluster all around. Definitely not returning here.

My favourite pizza place for the past few years. Fast delivery, always hot, and extremely consistent. My only beef is the price - they charge quite a bit, especially if you dine in.. expect $50 if you order pasta, and that's without the wine!

Overall a good place - one of the best we have in North Van.

Hit and Miss
Submitted Monday, October 27, 2008 - 10:24pm [Dine in]

When dining in you are almost guaranteed to have a somewhat decent experience. Most people know Andreas for their pizza, and when they do it right it is excellent. Unfortunately it seems they are extremely hit and miss.

The delivery can take a long time, even on typically slow evenings. Pizzas have arrived cold, soggy and undesirable. When pointing this out to the folks running the place they seem dismissive.

My overall impression is that Andreas reaches out to people looking for cheap pizza and they are volume sellers. If you want consistent quality, I would suggest you go elsewhere.
