I went to Little India last night expecting some mediocre Indian food at an acceptable price. Upon arrival my expectations were blown away.
I was greeted immediately by the restaurants owner Peter. He gave me a great choice of seating in the restaurant: sitting outside or inside. When we were ready to order where were quickly greeted by another employee. He was a shorter fellow who was extremely relate-able and always cracked a joke or two upon speaking with me. We ordered Samosa, Butter Chicken, Prawn Masala, Pulao Rice and a couple of Naans. I expected the Samosa's to come out greasy but was quickly proven wrong when they came dry and grease free. Shortly after the rest of the food arrived. The prawns were flavorful and a delight containing vegetable and a curry sauce that made the dish great. The Butter Chicken was moist and utterly brilliant and the pulao rice was warm and beaming with taste. The Naan bread was the best part of the meal. They were tasty, fluffy and went perfectly with the rest of the meal.
The whole restaurant lived up to the name Little India. Peter has developed a collection of classic Indian art and music that adds to the Indian aura of the restaurant. For the caliber of food I received I got a fantastic deal paying around $40 for the whole meal. I will be coming back again and again and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to taste some brilliant Indian cuisine.
