I ordered butter chicken, chilli chicken, 2 naan breads and rice for pick up and the food was great! it came to $26 for everything, and was more than enough for 2 people with lots of chicken breast meat. WAY BETTER than saffron in burnaby which I live near, I wil definately be going back to dhaliwal again
I hadnt come here in a few years but from what I remembered It used to be alot better. This time around, the food had very little meat in their dishes, just alot of onions, peppers and other veggies and the sauces all seemed to taste the same. That being said, the coconut curry was very nice and although the dishes werent very authentic, they are somewhat tasty and the ingredients were fresh, but were way too expensive for what you get
I have been here a few times and love the food. It would be nice if they had a bit more variety on the menu but as far as what they do have on the menu is concerned, It is very good! The birds they have hanging in the window are a bit pricey but excellent, this place is definately in my top 5 dim sums in the lower mainland
You can always get a cheaply priced good hearty meal here. Friendly staff always make you feel at home whether its your first time here or you are a regular, and I cant get enough of their western food, especially the pan fry combos. I have been here at least 20+ times over the last few years, and cant remember ever having a bad experience
I have been here a few times and have been pleasently surprised considering it is in new west, which is probably the last place I would look for dim sum in the lower mainland. The Donuts with soy milk are fantastic as well as the chili wontons and crab. Sui mai and har gow not as good as somewhere like red star or imperial but all in all it is pretty good! no signifigant lineups and friendly staff as well. The only knock is the ambience because if theres no room left in the main dining part which holds the majority of the tables, they have a little cramped room on the side with a few more tables that has a clausterphobic feel to it
if you are looking for the worst service I may have ever seen in a any lower mainland dim sum restaurant and I have been to most of them, i.e. extremely arrogant and downright rude which starts with the manager, and mediocre food which gave my wife and I diaherrea immediatley after, then this is the place for you!! If this is not what you are looking for then I would recommend happy valley which right nearby or anything else for that matter
