Another McDicks...
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 11:22pm [Dine in]

Good value if you want a quick meal. I remember coming to this branch as a child and going into the caboose for a birthday party. Very memorable. However, I noticed a few more homeless people eating here in comparison to other branches I have been to. Once again, another Mc Dicks. Nothing special.

Great After Snowboarding
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 11:17pm [Dine in]

One of the few places still open after a long day of boarding at Grouse Mountain. I'd say, an alternative to Denny's. The food was alright, the service was alright, the value was alright, the ambiance was alright. Nothing spectacular.

On another occasion here, we had a morning meeting. This place is good to hold short meetings if you want to have something to eat while talking. Good breakfast food.

Excellent!
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 11:10pm [Dine in]

I read a comment below which inspired me to write this. Every week for a year after church, I came to this branch. We always ordered the same thing. The food is always excellent, especially their hot and sour soup, best in the area in my opinion. The wonton is also very consistent and tasty. A few years have gone by without me coming here, and upon walking in, the waitress welcomes me with a big "Welcome back!". I was surprised they still remembered who I was! And the funny thing is, they knew what I wanted! Excellent memory!

Good Place For Casual Meetings
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 10:48pm [Dine in]

Although this place is small, usually there aren't many people. This place is also a good place to get ice cream cakes for birthdays, etc. The food here is just like any other fast food restaurant... Greasy and can't go wrong. However, this branch tends to overdo the beef patties in their burgers, making it hard to chew on.

Good place to go if you need coffee before 11pm. Definitely the strongest coffee around and will get you through your last minute essays, last minute final exam studies. Usually I do not drink much coffee, but the coffee here is much more effective in comparison to Tim Hortons and McDonalds.

Damn Good Noodles
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 10:36pm [Dine in]

The noodles are definitely very delicious. The service is just like anywhere else. For it's price, it is very good. Overall, very good place if you want a quick lunch or dinner. A great alternative to Pho. This place will definitely see me again when I'm around the Metrotown area.

Another McDonalds
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 10:31pm [Dine in]

I just have to say, that the only thing special about this McDonalds is that it is the only one close to UBC. However, I noticed there is an increased price at the branch, and this branch only. I'd say, good iced coffee for it's price in comparison to Blenz or whatever.

My Bubbletea Costs $5?!
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 10:26pm [Dine in]

When I went there, the cheapest bubble tea was around $4. You can get the same stuff at Jumbo Cup or anywhere in Richmond for ~$3. There is no real food, just a few snacks. I do have to admit the bubble tea tastes alright, nothing bad about it. I would not come back though.

Personally, Too Expensive For Me
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 10:20pm [Dine in]

The food was excellent, since I enjoy spicy food. The service was nothing exceptional. However, the entrees cost far too much for what they give you. Although the food was excellent, in retrospect, I paid too much. The dimmed environment is nice to have, makes it look a bit classier.

Probably The Best Place At 2AM
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 10:15pm [Dine in]

The food is consistent to the other places. Greasy. The service is just like any other Dennys, nothing spectacular. The value is average, considering it is one of the few places open late night, probably the best next to McDonald's. If you are up at 2AM and are hungry, it's worth going there to satisfy yourself.

Korean Hotpot!
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 10:10pm [Dine in]

Great place for a group of 4-5. The food was very consistent both times I have been there. The service was good, considering they were very busy at the peak dinner time. Its value wasn't the greatest, but ended up to be approximately $22 per person, which isn't that bad considering All You Can Eat. I like how they have fans ontop of the grill so it isn't smokey. However, noisy with lots of people and plates clashing. I would come back with a group.

The Most Expensive Hotdog
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 10:04pm [Dine in]

I do have to admit, it was the best Hotdog I have ever eaten. The workers there are very proficient and made sure everyone who ordered their hotdog got it. I was amazed how many people are there during the peak lunch hour. It seemed as if everyone wanted one.

A Typical White Spot
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 10:00pm [Dine in]

The food is always very consistent, and nothing bad has happened really. Personally, my favourite are the chicken strips. The service isn't especially good, but enough for me not to complain. The entrees available do not have good value. The view from the window seat is a road with cars, just like anywhere else. Nothing special.

Ran Out Of Free Breakfast
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 9:54pm [Dine in]

The other day, I went to Subway right before my final hoping to get free breakfast. The manager told us (the costumers) that they were out of food. The breakfast promotion ended at 11:00am and I was there at 10:30. How disappointing and from there, was hungry for the rest of the day.

Delicious, Only For Special Occasions
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 9:51pm [Dine in]

The food is delicious and very consistent. The service is very good, however the wait on Friday or Saturday nights may be a bit long. The food is very expensive for its portions, however, you would expect that from the Keg. The previous location had much better ambiance (candle light, more privacy, better view of trees, etc.). Overall, good place if you are a steak addict.

Just Another Tim Hortons
Submitted Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 9:44pm [Dine in]

Not sure why I'm here typing about Tim Hortons. This location is open 24 hours from what I believe. Good for coffee (a extra large coffee costs $1.75) runs when procrastinating your papers due the next day, or studying for your finals. Personally, tastes better than Starbucks. You will be seeing me tomorrow Tim Hortons!

Not worth the money i paid
Submitted Thursday, April 15, 2010 - 1:43am [Dine in]

I went to eat dinner there, and my group of 5 were put at a table meant for 4. Then, the food took forever to arrive (probably 45 minutes) after much arguing with the manager. Then the food came, and no rice was given. So we waited another 20 minutes for the rice before we could start eating. By then, our food was cold, and we were sick of this place. Overall, this place is dirty, run down, and has been closed before due to unhygenic reasons. Never coming back and worst chinese dinner ever.

The food is consistent. Personally, I enjoy the jellyfish. Overall, the food was pretty good and the service was fast. It is nice to have a few parking spots in the back as well, seeing street parking sometimes is difficult. Ambiance is alright, just like any other chinese restuarant. Run down but tastes fine. They will definitely be seeing me back.

Can't Go Wrong
Submitted Thursday, April 15, 2010 - 1:34am [Dine in]

It's in a mall food court. What can you expect? The teriyaki chicken is delicious. The cooks are nice and give extra sauce if requested. The sumo size is enough to feed two smaller people, or one large person. Other than that, there really isn't much special about this place. Perhaps not the quietest of meals since it's in a food court.

Best Dimsum Around
Submitted Thursday, April 15, 2010 - 1:28am [Dine in]

I had brunch there and the food was pretty good considering it was dimsum. The food came in carts just like any other place and you order what you want. You will have a good experience if your table isn't at some corner, where the food doesn't pass by often. Overall, good experience and a manager is always there if you need anything.
