Wang's Beef Noodle House8390 Granville Street, Vancouver
Good Beef Noodles
Submitted Wednesday, September 8, 2010 - 2:27am [Dine in]

The food here was delicious. However, the price for a simple beef noodle bowl wasn't that great. The time I went, was during the summer and they had lots of flies flying around inside. The serving wasn't that large, but enough to fill you up. Overall, an alright place to go if you are in the area.

Alright Pizza
Submitted Wednesday, September 8, 2010 - 2:22am [Take-out]

The pizza slices were of average quality and quantity. The fact that we can put on more sauce really got me hyped. The extra sauce made it taste much better and less dry. The pricing in my opinion is alright. If you are on your way to school, it makes for a good, fast snack on the run (assuming there is no line up).

Very Authentic
Submitted Wednesday, September 8, 2010 - 2:16am [Dine in]

My father and I ordered the cassava chips with dip and we didn't have second doubts about how great it was. The sauces they made were fantastic (if you enjoy spicy). The main entree was superb. The rice tasted great. The owner treated us with much respect and even talked to us about her culture. Overall, great place to dine and would recommend it to people who enjoy spicy foods.

House of Wings7155 Kingsway, #145, Burnaby
Good on Sundays
Submitted Wednesday, September 8, 2010 - 2:10am [Dine in]

The wings we ordered on Sunday were 37cents each. However, they had less flavours than Wings down a couple blocks on Kingsway. The food here was good, considering we only ordered wings. The large TVs there are great to watch sports. I would come back to try watching some hockey once the season starts.

Very Loud, But Good Deals on Sundays
Submitted Wednesday, September 8, 2010 - 2:07am [Dine in]

My friend and I went to Wings on Sunday and they were offering 39cent wings. They have a variety of flavours we tried and definitely worth the trip there. The order takes long to process and get to your table. However, once the food came, we enjoyed it. Overall, a good experience and worth another try.

No. 1 Beef Noodle House4741 Willingdon Avenue, Burnaby
Good Place All Around
Submitted Wednesday, September 8, 2010 - 2:04am [Dine in]

I went here after a long day of work at 10:40pm and ordered the original beef noodle. It tasted pretty good for noodles. The service wasn't spectacular, but sufficient. I didn't feel rushed or anything either, knowing that they have already closed while I was still eating. Overall, good place to eat. Moscrop Secondary is very lucky to have this place across the street!

Large Root Beer
Submitted Wednesday, May 12, 2010 - 2:07am [Dine in]

No joke, the cup I got when I ordered a large root beer could barely be held by one hand. However, I did not eat any food here, so I cannot say. The service was alright, seeing they only served me root beer. The ambiance is bad because it is the SUB and the population density is far too great for me to enjoy any meals in peace.

Large Selection
Submitted Wednesday, May 12, 2010 - 2:04am [Dine in]

They have a large selection of whatever you want to eat. The choices are generally healthier than eating anywhere else within the SUB. The sandwiches are good tasting, but I find it a bit pricey when I can get something larger at Subway for the same price. Overall, usually very busy during lunch and unpleasant for you when searching for a seat in the SUB.

Good, but not as great.
Submitted Wednesday, May 12, 2010 - 1:54am [Dine in]

This branch of Subway did not meet my expectations. This branch gave less, and did not put more if I asked. However, the students hired there were probably just following orders, so whatever. The value is pretty decent, much better tasting than Koya or A&W. The ambiance is poor simply because it is the SUB.

Terrible. Won't Be Expecting Me There Again
Submitted Wednesday, May 12, 2010 - 1:51am [Dine in]

i purchased a sumo sized teriyaki chicken, and everything was wrong with it. The chicken was burnt, the teriyaki sauce was lacking in flavour, the rice was soggy, the sauced leaked into the plastic bag, etc. When eating it, it tastes as if you are eating a slimy, burnt piece of toast with a hint of teriyaki sauce. I hope this place closes down and is replaced with anything else.

Satisfying Indeed.
Submitted Wednesday, May 12, 2010 - 1:47am [Dine in]

The food here isn't that bad. If you are craving sushi, this is the place to go inbetween classes (probably the only other place to go). The line up here during lunch time is pretty long too, so go early or late. The portions are small, but as the review before me stated; similiar pricing to any where else.

Awesome, Just Awesome
Submitted Wednesday, May 12, 2010 - 1:43am [Dine in]

I love the location of this Tim Hortons because it is somewhat centralized to where my classes take place. The line up may seem long at times, but it goes by really fast. I commend the workers there who work extremely fast and efficient. The food here is just like any other Tim Hortons, so not much to say there.

The service here was not up to par (not even close to par). The lady serving us was grumpy and seemed as if she wanted to jump off a bridge and die already. The food was alright (I've only been there once) and didn't see anything else wrong. The food at the SUB building is much more filling and don't need to pay tips for someone not even worth tipping.

Nothing special.

There is nothing really outstanding with this place other than it is a good place to go late at night for "sui yeh" in cantonese. The food here is alright, the service is alright, the value was alright. This place if anything, is another typical asian restaurant. Nothing special. Really.

Not Up To Standard
Submitted Monday, April 26, 2010 - 2:55am [Dine in]

The coffee here is overpriced. I'd much rather to Starbucks across the street at Safeway. However, I have never been to other branches, so I cannot comment on that. But from my experience here, I wouldn't want to give them a try. The chairs are nice to have. This place would make a good meeting place if you were to hold one.

Good for ice cream cakes
Submitted Monday, April 26, 2010 - 2:51am [Dine in]

Probably the only place around that sells ice cream cakes. The food here is just like any other fast food Dairy Queen chain restaurant. However, everytime I go to Dairy Queen at this branch, they always burn the beef patties. Probably from the lack of experience the "cook" in the back had.

The food here isn't top notch, but what would you expect? It's family run. The owner is pretty nice. However the crowd that comes here is usually rough. The cheap breakfast option keeps me coming back for more. If you are looking for a cheap all-day breakfast, this place is worth a shot.

I Miss This Place :'(
Submitted Monday, April 26, 2010 - 2:44am [Dine in]

This place is closed now unfortunately. The food was pretty average, and I used to come here to get the buns for congee at home. Their best dish was probably the multiple meats on rice dish. I'd say that was the best value. Overall not bad when it was still open and worth trying if you hadn't already.

The best place open at 2AM around my house. The food here is always consistent. They are always warm and welcoming to guests and get you seated as fast as possible. Definitely worth a try if you are hungry at night or are trying to get your papers / studies done for the day after. Overall, positive experience. I would see you soon Denny's!

Submitted Monday, April 26, 2010 - 2:34am [Dine in]

The food here is alright, it tastes pretty good. But for it's price, it is not worth it. This place is only worth if you can find a buy one get one free coupon (a long time ago in the Geogia Strait, not sure if they still have it now). And yes, they were voted the best Thai food in some years I believe. However, I wouldn't go back until I find that coupon.
