If you like teramisu, this is by far a superior slice of some of the best we've had. Only downside is that it quickly becomes habit forming....
Here's a restaurant we would not return to, or recommend. It was great a few years back, returned thinking we'd experience the same.... not. I mean really who makes pasta with 2/3 cream, 1/13 pasta, and a dab of seasoning? if you worked out all week the pasta dishes will surely kill all your progress. Bring alka-selzer for later on.
When we think of sushi, Okada is the first that comes to mind. Excellent food, from the tea to the sashimi, rolls, tempura, etc. Always find food fresh, tasty and high quality. Not the cheapest, but it's not expensive food to begin with. Friendly staff, very and consistant, would recommend to anyone.
Dine here a few times a year, with the recent renovations the atmosphere is improved as well. The pizza is a nice blend of quality and rich ingredients, and will beat a Domino's or greasy Pizza Hut anytime. What I also like is the pizza is exactly the way it was when I was a teenager, impressive to keep the consistency that long. Chocolate cake is also very good.
Been a while since we went out for Latin food, and this was a very nice meal. The warm atmosphere and music were enjoyable, as was the quick, polite service. Appetizer, drinks and meals did not disappoint either, both the tuna and halibut dishes were very tasty. We will return here, and recommend it.
We have dined here a few times, always return for the food quality. Ambiance is also nice. Find the beef noodles in OX sauce excellent, as is the roti app. and various curries. Spare ribs a bit on the oily side. Though the service is good and food quality high, the prices are on the higher side and the services on the small size. Location also very convenient to Scotia theatre.
We decided to try Golden Ocean, otherwise we would have never found it, nor bothered as it is quite dumpy from the outside. Service is very poor and slow, to the point of annoyance. The food is Ok, a few levels above a foodfair.... if that is saying much, but you get alot of it. Deep fried beef tasted to oily, like it was old oil, soup was gross. Would we go back? No.
Family member recommended it so we dicided to try Banana Leaf - very impressed. Good drinks, and the food was very flavorful. Would recommeded the alaska cod with a caramelized glaze, delicous! We also enjoyed the egg rolls and curry chicken, and especially the coconut rice. Friendly staff, we will return.
Maybe if you have a coupon it worth it, but I cannot really recommend this food. Corn that came with the ribs was bad, too much garlic, seafood pizza blan... and drinks too tart. Service and ambiance is Ok, but parking in the area is expensive.
