One of the best Japanese restuarants that I've been to! The food is truly outstanding. The prices are a little high, but for the service and quality of food, I think it's totally worth it!

Definetly a place to try for all Japanese food lovers!

Nothing Special

Went there for the dine-out Vancouver and the service was not what I expected. Considering that this restuarant is located in one of Vancouver's more prestigous hotels, I expected a higher level of service. Granted that it was during the dine-out Vancouver and it was busy there, it is still not an excuse to provide bad service.

Is it me? Or is it the service?

I've always liked Milestones. Good food, good atmosphere, reasonable pricing. I tend to expect a certain amount of service as I am also in the customer service industry, but recently my boyfriend and I have noticed a dramatic drop in their service. The last two times we went here for dinner, the service has been noticingly poor. The first time, the waiter was annoying me to the point that I was going to ask to speak with the manager. I asked him for a glass of water and waited 10 minutes, but still no water. Not only that, during the 10 minutes where I was waiting for my water, the waiter himself had walked up and down the aisle we were sitting in at least 2-3 times. And then of course came the food. We were not even half way finished our salads when the waiter brought out our entrees. I don't know about the rest of you diners out there, but that is just a big no-no in my world.

This would be the place to go if you want to go looking for service and not service being provided to you.

Unbelievably Poor

I have never had such a worse dining experience anywhere! I've never really had to big of a problem with their service, but this really tops all my dine-out experiences. My sister, her boyfriend and I made the worst mistake in going there for dinner one night. It wasn't busy, we were seated right away but for a good 20 minutes, no one came to see if we wanted to order any drinks. We complained to the hostess twice and she finally ended up ordering our drinks for us. Another 30 minutes later, still no waiter so we called over the hostess again and asked to speak with the manager who served us for the remainder of the evening and only took our drinks off the bill; he didn't even offer us complimentary dessert! The food there is also definelty over priced.
