Dined in on a busy Friday night with 6 other people. Ordered lots of food i had a steak which was very tasty and all my friends were completely satisfied with the service. Restaurant looks outstanding from the inside. We enjoyed our dining in experience and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Food is so delicious. 5 star experience.
the name says it all... when we placed the call initially, we asked how long. She said under an hour. So, after an hour and 45 mins, I gave them a call. He said it left 2 minutes ago. When I said again that it has been almost 2 hours and that the lady told us it would be an hour he basically just blamed it on her. When the pizza arrived, it was cold and not great. probably tasted better than it was since we were so hungry.
I went to Golphis on my birthday with my friends. It was a great experience, we all ordered steak because I heard it was rated best steak in all of the tri-cities. I was very happy with the meal and it was the best steak I have ever eaten. All of my friends had a great time and were satisfied with everything. The renovations are stunning and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
the restaurant has been totally renovated inside and looks outstanding . but at 6;00 we could not understand why there were only two other couples in the restaurant. they were using the buy one dinner get one dinner free coupons . a good way to draw in new customers . the steak way dry , tasteless and tough. the barbequed chicken was overcooked and dry . the barbeque sauce had a strange taste . the spaghetti was mushy , cold and the sauce tasted like tin . overall it was completely horrible .
I order from this place a lot. The food is always great, but it's a miricle that I continue to order there considering the people who work there.
Every time I call I am treated like an idiot and am spoken to rudely. I get cut off, crappy service, nasty attitude, and even hung up on right after they have all my information-- I mean really? Will it kill you to say bye even? Maybe I sound like I'm over-reacting, I don't know-- I just kind of expected after being a repeat customer for so long that maybe I would get treated a little better.
Even the delievery guy was bad. I mean I tip you well, I try to talk to you and be polite, and you give me the cold shoulder? I don't think so.
Tonight will probably be the last time I order from Golphis. The good pizza isn't worth the rude people who work there.
They just redecorated the whole place, so it looks much classier now, and it's not dirty at all, as opposed to the previous reviews. They installed like a disco ball and had awesome furnishing. Although it looks like not much of a restaurant from the outside, it's actually quite classy inside.
Anyways, the burgers and the fries were awesome, but I gotta say, they make the BEST PIZZAS ever, like seriously, their pizzas are amazing.
my husband and i used to enjoy going to golphis years ago, but are so disappointed when we did go back, and found the cutlery and glasses so dirty..the chicken is so dried up, and the pasta sauce is horrible...the place needs to be thoroughly cleaned and renovated....i would hate to see the kitchen
Came here on with a party of 4 on a slow Thursday night. Was not expecting much, even though they advertise steak and lobster on their front sign. Decor and furniture were dreadful! Definately needs some major renovations as it brings to mind the word 'dingy'. I think the tables were of the fold out variety!
Our server was cheerful, but I was suprised how long it took for the food to come (about 25 minutes for our appys) even though there were only 2 other couples in the place.
Had homous and deep fried prawn appys, which were pretty good. 2 people ordered pizza and 2 people ordered souvalaki. The pizza was amazing- honestly the best I have ever had!! I prefer over Flying Wedge! Thick but crisp and not too greasy, just perfect! Small (about the size of a large dinner plate) was only $9. However, those who ordered souvalaki were not impressed. Lamb souvalaki was described as "burnt beyond taste", and the rice and potatoes were edible but not good.
They should advertise Golphis as a pizza place (which would also make the shocking decor more understandable) because that is the only thing there I would go back for.
I used to live nearby and did take often. I have since moved away and forgot what the place looked like inside. Did a take out order for two large pizzas. The male who took the order got my phone number but after 10 minutes I called back to see how long it would be. Sounded like a different guy and he seemed confused. The girl at the cashier seemed a little out of it too.
The pizza was FANTASTIC. Ordered a house special (Golphis whatever). I was able to swap green onions for anchovies. Can't remember what the other pizza was cause the first was sooooo good. Not a big crust fan but this one appealed to me. A heaping supply of toppings. Everything seemed fresh.
I read the other comments so far and agree on the decor. The place is stuck in the past. Except of course for the massive LCD TV on the wall!? It had women’s tennis on. A cross between a sports bar and a diner. …. but I’ll be back for the pizza.
We don't recommend this place. It's dirty and the service (waitress) was not good at all. She forgot to bring the appetizer until we finished the dinner.
The atmosphere is not pleasant at all. Not recommended!
needs a bit of updating but hell of a place for late night big hearty meals and damn good greek salad. yumm. me and my husband will go much more often if they update and make the place look a bit more nice.
