Orrange Kitchen & Bar...kick ass food, killer cocktails and nothing but love.
Really like Orrange. Stupid name. Wine and beer super cheap . Fries are the best I have very had anywhere . I don't even like fries but I have them here. Never tried the chicken "stripes" not sure what they are. Never tried the butter to see if it's crispy or not . That would be weird. I super love the wedge sald it's the. Best. ,go have cheap applies and cheap booze. It's good. Not trying to be a fancy restaurant just cheap applies and cheap drinks
I will not talk about menu because it is not a menu for the place they are positioning them self. It is a mix of food truck menu and low level eatery, but prices are not.
I have to say the service was on good level.
However, food was not eatable. Fish and chips was way to over cooked, butter was not crispy enough, size was small and pricey, chicken stripes and fries was to oily, but chicken was cooked well. Also we have tried pork ribs - it was a huge mistake. Ribs was to dry. Fries are not good as well, in 5 minutes it was soggy. Coleslaw is the only thing we liked :)
If place positioning it self as restaurant it should provide decent food.
Do not recommend to go to the place until they fix their food.
My overall experience with Orrange has pissed me off. I've been excited for the arrival of this new restaurant to Port Coquitlam and have looked forward to it for a long time.
My experience began poorly when I was trying to make a reservation. I sent a message on the website, called the restaurant 3 times and left a voice-mail message without EVER receiving a reply on any occasion. I felt a complete disregard for my business. 2 days later, I called again and finally got a hold of a Manager, who apologized, took my name and said they would make sure I would have a good experience when I come in. . . That never happened.
When we arrived we were given an expected wait time, and were waiting 10 minutes over the expected time without any update from the hostesses.
Once we began eating, everything was fine and the waitress worked very hard and was always there to help.
However, when it came time to pay for our bill, the General Manager brought it, did not ask how we enjoyed everything and carelessly threw the bill in the middle of our table.
He then left 2 separate times during the bill payment process without announcing us, leaving us to just stare blankly around as we waited for him to come back. Throughout our whole interaction with him, he seemed pissed so we thought maybe he's having a stressful night. Shortly after, we started walking out and noticed him lively talking up the hostesses with a big smile on his face.
This restaurant is brand new so they have a lot to learn. However they will not go far with this type of attitude and service.
"Nothing but love"? Unless you have some issues with your bill or payment and you're there on a Saturday night.... the owner/manager won't even help you because he is too intoxicated to handle the situation! And don't even try talking to him because he will disrespect you and raise his voice!
I was even ignored by the hostess at the door when I walked in, not to even mention one of the waitresses complaining she hated working there!
This place needs some serious adjustment on customer service!!!
We finally made it to the new Orrange Kitchen & Bar in PoCo behind Costco on Ottawa. The Patio is not finished but were told in time for patio season! We tried the half price wings (only three flavours, we tried two of them and ordered extra crispy lightly sauced) awesome and NOT breaded! We also tried another dish to share which was average. Our server, Jen, was great. No one came around to see how everything was which was odd for a new establishment but the place has lots of potential and space for a gathering or large groups. We'll come back and try something different on the menu which is priced on par with White Spot, Milestone's so I hope they can attract the clients away from the competition. Orrange has the potential to stay so I hope they can make the restaurant clients feel as welcome as the bar clients.
This place is so loud the noise of people's conversations is louder than the TV's or music! You cannot talk to a person at your table without yelling. The menu is terrible. No suitable appetizers so we settled for wings and fries. (Vaporized vinegar on the fries--no big deal--very little difference to regular fries) The main course menu doesn't offer much either. Our group had the Beef Wellington, Yorkshire Beef Dip and the Angus Sirloin. All the food was good, but nothing to rush back for. When we got outside our ears were ringing. We won't be returning.
My husband and I just had a very enjoyable dinner at Orrange. Very trendy restaurant in Port Coquitlam which made me forget that we were right beside Costco. We ordered a little bit of everything. We shared the Chinese takeout - fabulous, bang bang beans (which we ended up taking home as we had too much food), quinoa salad (a meal in itself) and the tortilla soup. I felt that the menu had enough variety for everyone. Okay people this is not White Spot or Dennys but a classy, well priced, fantastic restaurant that we will definitely be coming back to. I think next time I will just order the salad alone as I am so full. Kim (our wait person) was fantastic and attentive. All this food plus a ceasar and tea came to $52.00. Can't wait for the fall to see the fireplace going outside.
