This thing is way out in the boonies. It's a tiny, tiny place with most tables being fit for 2 people only. We never saw anyone actually sit in and eat (besides us). This is definitely not a place to hang out. Strangely it didn't smell like fried chicken in the place.

Service? Typically pimply faced teen boy shuffling around and some old Asian dude back in the "kitchen". It's like watching a bunch of snails work, so you can't get mad at them, that's just how fast they can move. It took so long for them to get us the stuff, I swear they were making it from scratch...(probably not though).

Food? It's a bit on the salty side. We had the regular, so not extra crispy. For sure, I think it is less greasy than KFC or Church's as I recall. However, to say any fried chicken is non-greasy would be a miracle I think. The chicken didn't have super-thick, clingy layers of batter that I'm used to at KFC. Wasn't dry, but neither was it moist. Flavour is pretty decent. Skip the fries if you can, they suck. The chicken, well, we didn't go away feeling a bit sick and bloated like it usually happens in the pre-no-trans-fat KFC days.

Hmm...I wouldn't say it is worth the drive out to PoCo especially if you're not familiar with the area. It's not _amazing_ chicken. I guess if you really need fried chicken and you're in the area, you could certainly do worse.

A friend's party was when I was first exposed to Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken. As a Vancouverite, I've suffered enough bad Church's and KFC experiences to jade my view on fried chicken. But Lee's crispy hot, perfectly spicy and non-greasy fried chicken has made me a fan. Not sure whats stopping them from coming to Vancouver.
