My husband and I love the soft serve ice cream that is served at the Ice Box. However, each summer season the serving sizes get smaller and the price goes up. A "regular" sized cone is only slightly larger than what used to be a "kiddy" cone and the "large" is the size of what used to be a regular.
We started going there a few years ago when it had different owners who were friendly, provided great service and a real bang for your buck. The present owners pale in comparison on all counts.
Save your money or go elsewhere.
After a fun trip to HH Knoll park my boys and I stopped to get an icecream at The IceBox.
My 3 year oldmade a quick mess of his icecream as it melted in the sun. When I approached the window to get a few more napkins for my I was told I had to wait until she took the next order. Really? You are going to let a crying kid sit there covered in icecream. You can't quickly give a stressed mom a few napkins? I was very upset and said that I would be speaking with the manager.
I returned to the table and tolld my son that I couldn't get him any napkins and that I was sorry.
The manager then came outside and brought me a few napkins (he was still dirty and crying), and I was very grateful, until she said "You should have bought a smaller size!" in a very rude tone.
What does that mean? I bought my kid a kiddie cone, how much smaller could I have gotten?
What a miserable experience!
I won't be supporting this establishment ever again.
