I agree with the other reviewer - definitely check out the Pumpkin Love special.
The great thing about this little place is their creativity. They're always inventing new specials and trying new combinations. This is not the same old sushi you can get anywhere else. You're guaranteed to find something new each time you go in and I have yet to try something I haven't enjoyed. I even liked the sashimi, which I tend to avoid anywhere else. The service is not drive-thru fast - if you're planning a drive by hit and run lunch, you'd be better off at Tim Horton's - but it's friendly and personable and always welcoming. And the smiles from the little local shop atmosphere are way more genuine. ^_-
I whole heartedly recommend this place as my favourite go-to take out sushi restaurant.
Al-
this place has changed names, and owners. it is now sushi house.
i have to say i did not expect much the first time i went in. a little place in a strip mall.. hmm..
BUT they surprised me. while the food prep is not super speedy, the wait is worth it. besides, i don't mind waiting for GOOD food.
i have not had tons of take out from here, and trust me, you want to get take out. rather small and cramped inside. everthing i tried was good. of note the pumpkin roll was awesome! you have to try that if you go in.
one nice thing, if you are new to sushi they have pictures of all the food items.
the value is great, you get quality food, fair portion and at a good price.
well worth trying it if you have not before.
