Since 1999 Pad Thai has been serving up authentic, home style Thai cuisine.
Solo dining experience at lunch today. VERY friendly server, nice $7.95 lunch special of Green Curry (could use some eggplant?), clean enough. VERY cold soft drink which I love. With restaurants seeming to close as soon as they open out here in the burbs, this authentic enough Thai place is just fine by me.
I have tried various thai restaurants in the lower mainland
and I can say the taste of the food is tasteful, delicious and affordable
Offers variety of food and options to choose from
You will not regret it. When unsure what to order ask the server she will recommend the dish that you will definitely love......
A family style restaurant ---- server is very friendly
I would highly recommend you to try this restaurant...
I've been twice and both times dined inside, not take out. The service was good but a little slow as they generally only have one waitress to seat, take order, serve and take payment. But, that being said, the hot and sour soup was excellent, very flavourful, the vegetables and meat tasted fresh and the coconut milk was added to just the right amount (not too much). The pad thai-chicken is the second best that I've had, I've also been to Days Thai (3rd best; not recommended though!) on Kingsway and a Thai restaurant on Gilmore and Hastings (recommended!!! sorry, can't remember name).
Hi I eat here all the time haven't had any problems service is good considering they usually only have one waitress to do everything me and my girlfriend usually get the same thing every time we go and she always remembers exactly what we want. I would recommend the mountain beef very flavorful also the crispy wontons are great too. Have tried other dishes also and have never been let down.
As an ex Thai Chef, I have to say the Pad Thai at this restaurant is the worst I have ever seen, in any city. Ketchup, noodles, and Prawns do not make up any Thai dish that I have ever come across. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody anywhere, mind you, I did only have the one dish. The service was horrible, but the ambiance was traditional and nice to listen to.
My wife and I went there 2 years ago and had a nice meal and offered the coupon at the beginning. The service was OK, the lady was certainly not freindly, just a benign smile...I have been to Thailand, the land of the Smiles...and my wife is an attractive freindly Filipino...we tried several times to engage the waitor in some conversation. The place was empty except for us, and all she wanted to do was read her magazine...so we were not over all impressed to leave a tip...
She gave us a bill, and it included a tip on the full amount and taxes on the full amount, minus the amount for the 2-4-1 coupn from the Entertainment Book....we had an arguemnt about the tip not being compulsory.....She tried to rip us off....so we left cash on the table for the right amount and left....good food but lousy servant!
