My husband and I like to go the the Jolly Coachman for our date nights .. it is stumbling distance from our house, so we can both have a drink or two and not worry about getting home.
The food is good for pub food and the specials are usually even better.
Lots of TV's to watch sporting goods and the place gets hopping on the weekend.
Nice older crowd.
Weight staff are friendly and efficient.
We both recommend this pub it is a comfortable place to visit

This was our first time to Pit Meadows.
I was looking for a place to eat, drink and watch a hockey game and we found a great place in the Jolly Coachman Pub.
It was such a pleasent and friendly place we had to make several visits there over the course of a week.
The fact that they have a television almost every place you look made it great to watch the games.
I had a chance also to try many different plates of food and I can say that I never had a bad or cold meal any time of day that I went in to the Jolly Coachman nor was I ever hungry when I left.
Then I found the most friendly and courtious waitress that to my surprise actually like's working in the Jolly Coachman and that was nice to hear.
If you ever get to Pitt Meadows I sugest that you try the Jolly Coachman and ask to have Dawn serve you because she takes great pride in her work.
Also if you need good directions for other places to see the Bartender is also a great help.
I will now make it a point to stop at the Jolly Coachman every time I am in town from Ontario..

I am new to the Pitt and I stopped in to the Coachman for a drink Friday night after work. This is a great place to watch a game or fight. The food is excellent. I found that they didn't push the next drink to soon waiting utill I was finished is a nice change. The great serving staff and bartenders make me smile. Go check it out!

A comfortable neighbourhood pub if ever there was one; the inside is post-and-beam construction, the bar is long, the lamps look like old street lamps, and large flat-screen tv's (mostly for watching the Canucks!) are well placed, and not annoyingly space-hogging.

The best feature of this place is surely its food, however. The food really does go beyond what most expect in a pub - more so in quality than type. Regular pub fare is found here, but cooked very well, with interesting twists, and with a strong emphasis on presentation and large portion size. Proper "British" pub food can be found here, too, something usually lacking in most Vancouver pubs, outside of somewhere like the Cheshire Cheese Inn. From "Bangers and Mash" to more standard fare, quality is high, and even the "ordinary" kind of pub favourites (burgers) are done with variety and interesting ingredients.

The only downside? Service. This place is slow - mostly because it's often quite busy. There always seems to be enough servers, but they take their time getting to you (despite being nice and friendly) and if it's a busy night, the kitchen can get swamped. Also, a none too-well hidden/ventilated smoking room can be quite annoying to those sensitive to tobacco.

Overall, a cut above the ordinary neighbourhood pub. Nothing "fantastic", but a good bit better than most.

Moved to Pitt Meadows in Sept. and the Jolly Coachman has been a great spot. Good food ,great people that work there and all the sports you want. There specials are excellant and no one pressures you to eat or drink more. For my age and likes the Jolly Coachman is a true value for the dollar. I recommend this plave to all !!

They have great burgers and great beer on tap. Real chill, good place to have nachos and watch Canucks hockey. The waitresses are always very good but yes definitely small town pace - be prepared to wait. Good vibe and mix of people coming in and out of this pub. Highly recommended.

A local hang out for an older crowd but the younger crowd is making this place their own too. The food is good...good variety for lunch, dinner, or just munchies with a cold one. Not a fancy place but friendly and comfortable.

5 star chef at the Jolly Coachman

Why can't local restaurants find a chef as talented as the one at the Jolly Coachman??? The Baron of Beef Buffet is outstanding value at $9.49. Only Friday ---- 11:30 - 2pm. The food is so welled prepared & remains piping hot the entire time. The baron of beef is gigantic & offers slices from rare - well done. We had a great lunch & a leisurely visit. Nobody hasseled us. Nobody tried to push more drinks on us. Our out of country guests were impressed by the food & the service -- attentive but not cloying. We have partaken in their daily specials & always find the food so enjoyable --- especially the baby back ribs. Kudos to the Jolly Coachman for finding this gem of a chef !!!!! Certainly keeps us coming back !

i live right near the jolly coachman, so i have been a few times.
the first time was the 'old' managment/kitchen.
horrid!
after they re did it, i tried again.
BIG improvment!
new bathrooms, that was nice too.
though the service still is moslty pretty slow. the staff seem like they could care less on some days, and smiley other days.
i have had the steak and prawns, great. burgers are pretty darned good. breakfast is so so. depends on what you have, i think.
try it out, but only when you are not too hungry, who knows when you will get it!?

I am frequently in Pitt Meadows and meet friends for a pint. For the last 2 years the mens washroom has been in a disgusting rstae of disrepair. One of the urinals is actually missing off the wall, and the rest od the washroom is the worste I have ever seen. This is a busy pub with a very busy liquor store attached, so money does not seem to be the problem.

This makes the whole dusiness seem disfunctional !
