I read the older reviews below and wonder if this is the same restaurant that I have ordered from several times! They do charge me an extra few bucks as I live in the very North end of Maple Ridge but to me it is worth it as the food always comes hot and quite tasty. The vegetable dish actually has veggies in it besides carrots and bok choy and the chow mein has veggies in it besides just noodles. I have not ordered the Chicken Balls in quite a while as they tend to be too greasy for me.
I have gone in for take away as well and the lady has always smiled and been very nice to me. As I pay I can see the cooks chopping away and they always smile and say hello so I am not sure where these negative comments are coming from. I can only speak to my experience and it is the only Chinese food in MR &/or PM that I will order from other than the Wokbox.
We have eaten here a few times. They have great customer service, and great food. They also give you TONS of food for what you pay for. We have had food delivered which took longer then normal but they gave us a discount becasue it took so long.
I would recommend this place to anyone :)
I have bought from this restaurant twice.
The 1st time I just ordered some hot and sour soup as I was sick. As far as I can remember it was tolerable but I was sick and my taste buds were gone so who knows.
The 2nd time my son and I went in and sat down and it was terrible. The service was beyond rude. Our food was thrown at us and the lady acted like she was doing us a big favor doing that. She was also very rude to her delivery staff in front of the whole restaurant, it was extremely uncomfortable.
The food was terrible , greasy , slimy and made from the ingredients that were to brown and limp ... basically to old to be served.
I would never set foot in this restaurant again. There is not one nice thing I can think of to say about it.
I have lived in Pitt Meadows for 6 years and I have to say, the food and menu choice for Enjoy is excellent. We generally don't eat in, but enjoy the take out menu. The food has NEVER been greasy for us. The food is always piping hot and fresh. Out of town guests we have entertained have found the food great. I highly recommend giving the take out a try.
i have tried Enjoy a few times, i guess i am a glutton for punishment.
the food is greasy and bland, the service is horrid and overall the place is not terribly clean.
If the food was just a bit better and the service way better, than for the price, it might be worth going there.
i think i would even pick rotten ronnies over this place. at least there you have a chance of getting good service!
with so many GOOD places to eat in pitt meadows, i do not know how they stay open.
A few weeks back, I dropped by to grab an order of steamed rice. I was on my way home from work and in a rush to make some congee (a form of Chinese rice porridge) for my little two-yr old daughter, who wasn't feeling well. I figured that, to speed things up, I would just grab some rice and go home and make the congee myself.
The second I walked in the door, the lady behind the counter gives me a dirty look, and blurts out the English translation of, "oh, hi, stupid fat guy" (sai fai jai, in Cantonese). Right away, things were off to a bad start. It was like she recognized or knew me, but I had never set foot in the place before (though my wife has picked up takeout from there before). She didn't become any more impressed when all I ordered was a side of steamed rice. She continues muttering some choice words in Cantonese (stuff like, 'hey, all this goof is ordering is rice, he doesn't even need anything to go with it', etc, etc). I was PAYING for the piddly little order of rice, not like I was scrounging for a free meal. Perhaps she just found it insulting.
On my way out, I thanked her in Cantonese (as she seemed to think I was just another Cdn-bred Chinaman who couldn't speak the native language). Thinking it would surprise her to her senses and embarrass her a bit, it didn't even faze her. Had it not been for the 'urgency' of getting a quick bowl of rice, I wouldn't have even bothered stopping in there...and I will NOT be patronizing this place ever again!!
My husband and I have just moved into the area, we tried this restaurant and laughed because it was out of a bad movie. When we drove into the parking lot it looked busy but when we entered the restaurant we realized that it must be the sushi place next door that was busy! Every table in the place was dirty but not occupied, the little chinese lady acted like we were bothering her, they got the order wrong, the food was mediocre, and the kitchen (visible from the til) was messy and dirty. The kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. This one will definately not be on our list to return.
