Akaksaka ia a charming family run sushi restaurant that offers a menu full of sushi classics.
We love Akasaka!
The restaurant is in a lovely little heritage house.
The food is always good, the fish is fresh and the menu inventive.
It is mid to high mid priced to eat in but very economical to order their tray's to go.
This is my family's favorite picnic food.
I am extremely picky about freshness and I have never had any problems with their sushi.
The owners have a lot of pride in their business and you can taste the love in their food.
This place is a hidden gem.
Highly recommended!
I have been to akasaka many times over the years. i have never been disapointed in the food. service ranges from okay to great. mostly on the better side. i have never been disapointed in it, in any case.
now the food, that is why i go back! mushroom Shitake, awesome!though a bit less mushrooms over the years, i still love the stuff. get one to share, it is good!
viking roll, nummers, agadasha tofu, spice, super, bc roll, good, crazy boy roll, yummy, well, really, it is all pretty good.
i will go back and back again, they never fail to make my tastebuds happy :)
patio, good, indoors, not bad. take out, great.
This quaint restaurant is located in a beautiful Heritage house at the corner of 122 & Harris road. Sitting at the edge of a park, the house is serounded by beautiful tall trees. The Heritage house is inspiring and I love that they have used it to house a great restaurant.
I spotted Akasaka when I moved into the area two months ago. I started going and find myself a regular now.
The Food is very Fresh and delicious. and the service is friedly and fast.
A must try!
This restaurant provides good Japanese food in a town that doesn't really have a lot of that. It's in a converted heritage building, which is kind of neat but also kind of cramped. Everyone who works here seems friendly and the food is pretty good.
The food here is OUTSTANDING! Every dish I have ordered from this restaurant was fresh and delicious.
The restaurant is located in a heritage house which is cool but also kind of cramped with ugly decor. I usually order take-out because I live just across the street so I can't say much about the service because the first time I visited, the service was great and the second time, the service was below average. I have only dined in the restaurant twice.
The staff are very friendly, although lacking in English. But they make up for that with their smiles.
And again, the FOOD is DELICIOUS!! (Try the crispy roll, it's amazing!)
I have been to this restaurant several times now and I can't think of one time I was dissappointed. The location is great, easy to find and unique. The house is quite cozy with larger private rooms upstairs. The patio looks nice but I have never been seated there. The food is always extremely fresh and the portions are sized nicely. The prices are good and the service is steady. This restaurant may be in Pitt Meadows and not Vancouver but you wouldn't know it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great Japanese food.
A very enjoyable experience. Great food, friendly staff, very nice interior. It is in a heritage home, the interior is relaxing and homey. The service is friendly, helpfull and quick. The best sushi in the area. One of the best places to dine in Pitt Meadows. The menu has plenty to suit every sushi lover.
A variety of fusion combined rolls tasted great and also, I ordered salmon and tuna sashimi. The sashimi was fresh. It was a great experience to have eaten in a neat heritage house. They have private rooms upstairs for small gatherings. Waitresses were friendly and helpful although they were lacking in english. Above all, unlike other restaurants, it seemed very clean and tidy which I liked. They also had a beautiful outdoor patio. Parking was not too bad at all and not to difficult to locate this restaurant. All in all, a great japanese restaurant and I recommend it to those who enjoy and love japanese cuisine.
