At La Piazza you will enjoy authentic Italian and gourmet dishes made from traditional recipes containing homemade pastas and fresh ingredients. To complement the dining experience, the restaurant offers a diverse collection of imported and domestic wines, beers, aperitifs, and specialty drinks. On weekends, the lounge area features retro music, live entertainment, or pay per view sporting events creating a fun, relaxing atmosphere.
My husband and I went to La Piazza last night. I've been to many Italian restaurants in Ottawa, and I'd have to say this was one of the best. We both had appetizers which were outstanding. I had a pasta dish and my husband had seafood. The food was excellent, and they have interesting menu choices. The service was impeccable. I don't think that I could say anything negative about this experience....other than I ate too much! We'll be returning to La Piazza.
Wow! From the olive oil poured for warm bread to the desserts, this restaurant was outstanding. There were three of us and there was not a complaint among us. Service was warm, friendly and efficent. The restaurant is slightly noisy, but not annoyingly so. Appetizers are appropriately sized and excellent. Smelts were excellent. Dinners are more than adequate in size. My steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare as desired. All 3 of us raved over the crispy edges, with tender center steak. The gnocchi alla maria and pasta dishes were also excellent. If you only visit Manotick once, do not miss this place.
The staff were EXCELLENT working with my father and I for planning a rehearsal dinner for my own wedding. Presented with a specific budget, the head chef created a specialized menu. The venue was beautiful (the dining area which was sectioned off for our group) and the food was beyond amazing. The food at my actual wedding paled in comparison. Have been back at least twice to the restaurant since the rehersal dinner, each time better than the last.
My boyfriend and I have eaten here multiple times and we absolutely love it!! We're not from the area, but travel to Ottawa about once every few months. The staff, service, food, and atmosphere are amazing! Some of our favourite dishes are the Chicken Marsala, Steak (any!!), and Calamari appetizer. If your in the area or just stopping in Ottawa for a night, this is definitely the place to eat!! We'll be back again soon!!
We read some of the reviews on Dine Here, so we thought we'd give La Piazza a try. We're very glad that we did! Authentic homemade Italian food in a family-owned and operated, cozy little restaurant. Absolutely outstanding food and friendly service. Lots of local charm, too. Reasonably priced. We'll be returning to this restaurant again, it's definately on our short list of places to go and eat.
Happened into La Piazza accidently and now this place is a must on my list. Each year I meet a few friends for a long weekend in Ottawa and this place is just what we need. The service is amazing, the food delicious and wine perfect. We can take our time and enjoy every moment. In fact, we left a shoping bag when we left and decided to stop at The Mill (nearby) and all of a sudden our server runs in with the bag. She overheard us say we should stop at a local bar for a drink and found us!! I can't say enough good things about this place!! Do yourself a favor and go - very reasonable.
I have been here twice recently with my wife and both times it exceeded my expectations. Buzzing and vibrant with good food at reasonable prices, they have fantastic pasta's and hand made pizzas. The chef is fantastic, great seafood, great lamb, great steak and the deserts are all homemade with beautiful wines at reasonable prices. It is fast becoming my favourite place to eat in Ottawa.
My husband & I love this restaurant and it's our favorite in this city. Whenever we celebrate a special occasion, this is the place we go to. We always get great food, great service, friendly staff, great atmosphere. We've never been disappointed. There is a lovely patio with beautiful gardens open in the summertime which makes you feel like you are in Tuscany. The indoor space is intimate and has a warm feeling. The menu is quite extensive to suit every taste, from meat to fish to, of course, their great pastas. The wine list is also extensive and very reasonably priced. You do get very generous portions at this restaurant - not the little sprigs of food that leave you hungry even after 3 courses. I highly recommend it.
So happy we ate at this little restaurant. Authentic Italian and to die for dishes. The service was amazing. Everyone is so nice, you don't want to leave. I was upset I couldn't finish the food, they kindly packaged the remainder up for me, which I enjoyed for lunch the next day. We will probably stop in here every time we visit Ottawa.
This is by far my favorite restaurant in Manotick. My husband and I eat here at least twice a month. The atmosphere and service are great and the food is to die for! I definitely recommend it! The appetizers and entrees are wonderful but the desserts put the evening over the top!
My business partner and I came to La Piazza for an impromptu lunch a few weeks ago and just had the most fantastic meals. I'm generally really picky about food and flavour, I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese, it was honestly the best, and I mean the best I've ever had. My partner had the Veal Piccata and was equally wowed. We were so impressed with everything, including the level of service that we received from the General Manager, Michelle, that we decided to book our office Christmas Party there.
I had a business dinner here with colleagues. The three courses that we had were all delicious, mussels, soup of the day and rack of lamb for me; the lobster ravioli was very well done also. The portions are not at all skimpy for an upscale restaurant (in fact they might be a bit too large). Everyone enjoyed their meal, I also appreciated the friendly, helpful and unpretentious service . Dessert was wonderful and we were treated to several complimentary "in between courses" treats from the great owner, Frank.
\We opted to try La Piazza through other reviews and we were not disappointed. When we arrived they had almost every table full and the older host warned us that the kitchen was slow (uh-oh.) Nevertheless, we stayed and started out with a Ensalada Capresse which was delicious, lots of mozzarella. My wife and 3 year old shared the linguini alfredo with shrimp and I had the gnocchi. We didn't wait an extraordinary amount of time for our food despite the host's warnings. The food was excellent and exactly what we expected from a truly good Italian restaurant. The owner and his wife were making the rounds making sure everyone was attended to and we overheard them telling another table that each meal was made to order so food sometimes takes a few minutes more than what's considered "normal." At the end of our meal, our 3 year old had made friends with the waitress and she brought out a complimentary piece of tiramisu...amazing, amazing, amazing. Light but yet full-flavored, just what I would expect from a "real" tiramisu. Don't go there in a rush or expecting them to turn orders on a dime, but rather with time to enjoy a good meal with family where you know each plate is made just for you.
We visited here last week and were really impressed. We luckily got a cancellation , but it does fill up so booking is essential.it is a lovely little restaurant in the small village of Manotick just outside Ottawa. Food was delicious. Service great. Seemed to be full of locals which speaks for itself. Highly reccomended. We thoroughly enjoyed everything that we ordered, all delicious.
The food they are serving at this restaurant is fantastic, every morsel was worth every penny! We got to enjoy the last of the lovely summer weather a couple of weeks ago on their patio, nothing like sunshine beaming down while you have a wonderful meal with great friends and great wine. We decided to share an antipasto platter amongst four of us. There was plenty to go around, a delicious assortment of cheese, cured meats, olives and roasted sweet peppers; everything was served with warm rolls and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For our main courses we decided to try a selection of various items and pass it around, family style so everyone got a sampling. We opted for the manicotti, Veal Parm, Lamb and Gnocchi; we also requested a couple of the lobster tails as they were such a great price. Everything was exceptional, cooked to perfection, seasoned wonderfully and tasty, tasty, tasty. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
A great place to take the kids for pizza; their Margherita pizza is fantastic, my kids love it for lunch. We always have a great time on their patio in the summer, the service is always great. My wife has a gluten allergy and they are very willing to accomodate. My personal favourite dish is always the gnocchi - freshly made and perfectly cooked, I like mine extra spicy and not too heavy on the sauce.
Love this place! Its one of the few places Ill go and just order whatever the special is because I know it will be phenomenal. It can get busy on the weekends so make reservations. If you do end up waiting, which isn't very often, the owner usually will come around and give the party waiting a delicious Limoncello. It truly is a slice of heaven and a must try for Italian food lovers
What a wonderful surprise! We have gone to most of the top rated Italian restaurants in Ottawa. La Piazza is up there with the best. We have a code for many restaurants - "been there - done that". La Piazza is a definite "been there - will go there again and again". Food was wonderful and the service great. The ambience is really nice, there is an amazing patio in front of the restaurant, very private and quiet, a wonderful place to eat.
We've been La Piazzas loyal Customers since about three years ago. Every time that we go there is a spectacular experience. 1) Excellent Service (incredible commitment to make feel happy and comfortable the customer) 2) Best Food: Every dish is delicious and specially served 3) Ambiance is extraordinary. And the owner, Frank is such a gracious host. He's always there to make sure everything is taken care of perfectly.
We recently celebrated a family reunioun at La Piazza - there were 25 of us that attended and I must say that the entire event was wonderful, we were very well taken care of from the moment that we made the decision to hold our event here.
The owner made sure that everything was well executed, from the menus for our group to the food selection to the service that we received during our meal. We had a fixed menu and they were able to make an excellent substitution for one of our party that has a gluten allergy.
The room that we had was wonderful, a nice semi private dining area and we made arrangements to have everyone brought to the restaurant in their limousine service that they offer. There were a number of different components that had to be executed in a very organized manner and they delivered perfectly.
