A coffee shop that also serves hot meals such as Thai Chicken for lunch. The coffee shop is situated on the west side of Lonsdale just north oh Victoria park and opposite the Credit Union building.
Pegster's has recently come under new management. There is a good lunch selection that sometimes includes Chilli con carne and Thai Chicken among the options. The food is prepared with care and the staff are very pleasant and polite. If there was a star rating for value-for-money then I would give it five stars.
They have amazing soup, wraps, cookies, loaves, etc. Their coffee isn't the best I've had, but their amazing service totally makes up for it in every way. They know you on a name to name basis, and will even sit down and talk with you! They prefer you pay with cash and so if you don't have it they'll put it on your tab for next time. Peggy's husband is so sweet too. And I can tell they treat their staff really really well, which is very important. Its a great place to grab lunch!
Pegster's - This place is great. The provide organic free trade coffee. Their food is always fresh and yummy! I just happened to stumble in one day and tried it out. I am set that this place has the best spring rolls ever! I am a spring roll finatic and these top all of the others that I have tried.
The new owners provide the best delightful service I have ever had in a coffee shop! They're always happy to see you and their daughter who runs the cash remembers you even when it your second time there.
I definetly recommend the spring rolls but you have to get there early or they will all be gone by 1pm. Oh and they back them, so they're not greecy.
