A great neighbourhood restaurant

Great service. Friendly staff. Smiles everywhere. Great rolls. Fresh sashimi. Light and crispy tempura. What more can you ask for? My favourite place to go when I'm craving sushi, just a 2 minute walk from Lynn Valley Centre. The owners seem to enjoy their job and will always serve you with a smile. The extra small things they do for their customers makes this place a local favourite. Free refills on tea and sometimes even on miso soup. i went in for a pick up once and i had a cold, the server gave me 2 bowls of miso on the house along with a "hope you feel better soon" note on the bag, and i wasn't even a regular customer at the time. Highly recommend.

Great rolls!

This is one of my favourite places on the north shore. Their dynamite roll is the best i've ever had. I highly recommend this place. The service is excellent and staff are extremely polite! One of the best places for good quality, fresh sushi. Mr. Sushi never disappoints! The restaurant is a little bit small so you may have to wait before to be seated so I suggest that you call in advance and order take out.

Great Rolls!

Decided to have sushi today to beat the traffic going home from North Van :)

Honestly, I didn't have high hopes at all for this little (clean) hole in the wall.
But was very pleasantly surprised nevertheless.

We ordered a "Daily Special Combo" for around $8 - 8 piece california roll, chicken teriyaki, 1 deep fried gyoza, and 2 piece each of yam and shrimp tempura served in your standard bento set with Miso Soup. + side order of Dynamite roll.

The sushi was decent sized (ie. edible in one bite and not monstrous lol) with fresh fillings, well as fresh as standard california roll fillings can be anyways lol and good rice (non-mushy/sticky). The teriyaki well done yet not over fried and yummy. And most importantly, the tempura actually came out crispy and hot! (not soggy..) Portions were not huge but just enough to be happily carbed out and content that we are getting quality.

Lots and lots of take out customers walking in during our meal so that must be a good sign.
Only complaint was no salad? with the combo, but no big deal for the quality and price.

Will have to come back and see if the fish part proves just as good!

The food at this little shop is great, my wife and I have been coming for years now and we have never had a bad experience. The service is fun and fast but not clingy, The value of the food is well worth it and the portions are standard for a sushi bar, the art of the food is always great. Primarily a take out place but they do have a few tables which are constantly busy, no reservations you take your chances if you want to eat in. We enjoy it here and come back often

Great neighbourhood sushi place

This restaurant isn't fancy but it's a great little neighbourhood place. The food is always very good, especially the rolls. The staff are very friendly and really seem to enjoy working there. Once, while waiting for a pick up order, the staff insisted we wait at a table and gave me some chinese tea and my son a soft drink, on the house. It's the little touches like that that make it a neighbourhood favourite. We usually get take out but when we have stayed to eat, the service has always been good. Recommended for a "cheap and cheerful" meal.

I love Mr Sushi.
You can tell a good sushi by its rice! The fish is really fresh, and they have a cute menu with Lynn Valley specific combos.
And the rolls are all of superb quality - Combos are excellent value. The place is small but cosy and on Friday nights, it feels like coming home to meet family!
Staff is superfriendly.

Highly recommended
